Hey Everyone, I'm happy to drop my CC entry Kairos Balter G.C. As noted on the score card the course is boasting 4 tees maxing out at 7075 from the tips. Tee manipulation allows for follow up playthroughs to experience the course quite differently on a 2nd,3rd or 4th round. The 'fast fairways' bugged down to slow allows for big drives as the course is played through hilly terrain and cliffside. Club house and halfway house allows for guests to enjoy a pint and watch players come in the turn or go for it on the Gambling hole #18. This is my first contest entry excluding Design League, so as always, any feedback would be much appreciated! 4 key elements that I would like judged are: At least one driveable par 4 (#18 - Gambling hole, and 14) At least one par 3 greater than 230 yards (#2 - elevation makes you think on this one) At least three par 4s under 400 yards (#9, #14, #17, #18 - 17 is probably my favourite) At least one three shot par 5 (#8 - a beast at 655yards) kai·ros bal·ter 1. a propitious moment for decision or action. 2. to dance or tread clumsily KAIROS: Kairos is an Ancient Greek word meaning the right, critical, or opportune moment. The ancient Greeks had two words for time: chronos and kairos. The former refers to chronological or sequential time, while the latter signifies a proper or opportune time for action. BALTER: Slang to dance artlessly, without particular grace or skill but usually with enjoyment. Some photo's posted from the submitted course on forums: 1st Tee - Uphill par 4 15th Green with a view of the clubhouse and 18th Drivable par 4 5th hole - SHORT par 3 with a view of 9 fairway and halfway house. Thanks everyone and enjoy your round (or more!)

Seb I loved this! I knew from the DL work you're coming into your own in the designer but even still I was surprised at the class of this. It was a lot of fun to play even with the game gifting me high winds. Also love the clubhouse and halfway house! Great work and good luck in the comp!

Had went over but not too bad, still had a chip that I almost made and got birdie. The wind was perfect for your other drivable 4. Although I lipped out the Eagle putt lol

I refuse to play this course until I see pictures Sounds like fun! @cd06 added some photos that were uploaded on the TGC submitted course page and took some more for you. Now go play it Charlie! You will notice my attempt at revetted faced bunkers on many of the playable surfaces. Ran out of meter, but I would add more layers to add to the effect. I feel happy with the rustic feel i came out with on these. 6th Par 5 - Center Hazard - Fairway Bunker 9th Par 4 sub 400 yards - Tiered Fairway and Halfway House 11th - Par 3 - mid-length Downhill Infinity green with visual intimidation from bunkers 2nd long par 3 Greater than 230 yards - Downhill 80ft with protecting bunker to the right to a long green sloping front to back and slightly right to left (great view of the coast and Club house from this Tee shot 15th (left) green - Short Risk Reward par 5 -16th (right) par 3 with guarding pot to the left connected by a bridge over the rock-slide coming in from the hills as well as overlooking 14th drivable par 4 behind. 17th - Short Par 4 sub 400 yards and green site - visual obstruction center reachable in favourable wind. forces a left or right drive pin based (somewhat of a lions mouth, but separate from the green) - not seen (left bunker in the rough 240 out guarding a 3 wood layup) 18th - Drivable sub 400 par 4 - view of the Club House and coast View of the Kairos Balter G.C. Plot (rockslide to the right creating 15th hazard and 16th dip from tee to green

This was really well done sebk. Felt very natural even with some serious elevation change. Holes played well, designs made sense, greens weren’t punishing but had some nice sloping to them. Loved the bunkers. Great job

Really good work Seb! Enjoyed the environment and land movement a lot. Wasn't too sure on the steep edged bunkering but all in all a great round to be had.

True @cd06, thought about dropping them, but they're not so penal once you get in them, but the idea was to create a blind shot if you did get in. Higher faced greenside, a bit lower with some views for fairway bunkers. Glad you enjoyed it though and thanks for playing through!

tpetro is this a burner account of yours? Kidding aside just played this and got to say it reminds me of something Thomas would do. Very good job on the course and excellent for CC level. Lots of fun holes with the elevation changes. This is your 2nd course? Amazing! Loved the short par 4’s and the finishing hole and clubhouse!

Yeah, 2nd full 18 for me, but have dabbled in DL. Appreciate you playing through and glad you enjoyed! Like I've said before though, Sandy Boots is out of the park, we're just hoping to grab onto your coat-tails!
