I thought the course was outstanding. Nothing like coming out of the gate with the number 1 handicap hole, which is difficult. There is alot of elevation changes which can work for or against you. I really liked the pot bunkering with the buried retaining walls (I assume that is what this was). Very well done in the few bunkers I managed to find and an under-used art. Planting was solid. Greens were fair and can be tricky if you do not hit your spots. Really like the small bit of town you you had around the first par 3. PLanting and hole routing was really nicely down on the back 9 as well. About the only thing I found a little underwhelming was the backdrop areas in the distance once you start coming around 3-6 or something like that. Maybe the west side of your plot. I think you used some massive sized rocks which you could tell were just massive sized rocks. Not a big deal....still a HQ links course where is there aren't many out there. I will definately use this course in society either this season or upcoming for sure. I think it will be well received.

A quirky take on links with wild elevation! For your society rounds there is some tee manipulation where golds will play short for scoreable holes making it an exciting 3rd round! Totally understand the backdrop issues with the rocks! Either way I appreciate the feedback.

I usually do some fairly extensive playthroughs before I schedule anything, especially if its someone I am not familiar with. If you have any recommendations for the best two round experience....I am all ears. You are the expert here and would know more than I as the designer. If its used as a major then I would end up using all four pins.

If its used as a major then I would end up using all four pins. Black tees and gold tees (for scoring) if you want a shorter but more accessible course, plays quite different than the back black tees as this will eliminate some of the 3 shot par 5s as well as make the drivable 4s a little bit easier with helping angles. Pin 1 is the best most playable, with pin 3 being the most fun for par 3 holes. Happy to chat offline if you’d like!

This is very good… some ambitious elevation changes but really well done… can’t really fault anything here, glad I’m not judging… this could easily have come out of the hands of a way more experienced designer…

Very nice course' Good luck in the comp... Thanks for the play through jimgem! Much appreciated The ‘driving range’ fence is a swing practice area. Hitting the ball into a fence where courses that traditionally don’t have range space have a fence or a net as a catchment area, for players to hit a few balls into. I did omit that on my write-up so I can understand the confusion! Sorry about that! Also, cracking putt on 13! What a bender!

The elevation definitely made for some interesting holes. I can already hear every CC player's gears grinding as they try to calculate a 78 ft drop on 2.
The bunkering is definitely what stood out to me, really well done!
