As per Doyleys post on promo event # 6. Numbers are down so much and the game for many is a "throw at the back of drawer and may play later" or trade in and have done with it. Societies also taking a hit which is a shame. Exactly more people have quit TGC this time around than any previous game. Not something to be proud of after so many successful years

Societies also taking a hit which is a shame. It's also summer and we've been released from covid prison. I for one still play 1 or 2 rds per day but there are other things to do outdoors. Fall comes and I will pick up more plays.

I play on PS4 and my friend just recently bought the game for his new XBox.....I wanted to play a few rounds to see what all of the complaints are about with XBox and this game. Well, the new XBox controller greater improved my tempo and I was getting more precision with drives and approach shots. The only issue I had was putting as it just feels different and I missed a lot of easy putts. My scores were about the same as with the PS4. If I could have made putts I’d been better with the XBox controller. I am getting a gaming PC soon and will no doubt use that new XBox controller and just figure out he putting with it. I actually think all the Xbox disparity issues are sour grapes. I too have the Series X and have logged a lot of hours on the PC. Seeing that I only have 10 hours playing time on the XBox and 80 times more on the PC, I see no huge difference between the XBox game and the PC game, at least on Master difficulty. My statistics are pretty similar. And one would think, with more time on the XBox I would get much better. I now play with the DS4 on the PC-- which really allows for almost unreal consistency on the swing plane, though tempo consistency is taking a bit more time. On the Xbox I use the Elite 2. Better on tempo but not as good as the DS4 on the swing plane. But overall, I'm just not seeing this huge disparity between the two. Maybe the XBox is a bit more difficult, and maybe once I get more time on the XBox that difference will disappear. But playing Master, the game, no matter the platform, is very difficult. When I shoot under par I feel it's a major accomplishment.

Sour grapes??!!! FFS.
Honestly, I rarely moan. I still enjoy this game and I play here with the intention of doing the best I can. TGCTours is amazing. The difference on my console just is what it is, I can live with it.
TGC1 and 2 there were loads of Xbox players in the top tour (me included, actually), 2019 a lot less, and now in this game almost none. Sour grapes?? You're having a giraffe mate.

Last I checked, real money wasn't being handed out around here.
The console disparity is a mountain worth dying on, but if someone is really serious about competing on this site, go buy a PS4. It's that simple. Sure it's a bummer, but HB has never claimed viable cross-platform play to my knowledge. If rising up the tours is your thing but you're stuck on an XB in CC-B, there is a solution.
The game's difficulty has been driving away players since TGC1 in 2015. These last few months is nothing but another page in the book. 2K21's five levels and endless toggling exist for a reason.
Give me the game that makes me uncomfortable, stressed, and pissed off. Makes those sub-60 rounds that much sweeter. Don't like it, check out Mario or Everybody's Golf or whatever it's called.
Maybe the patch's punishment increase for splash, flop and pitches was unnecessary, but many players scores haven't changed much.

I knew I recognised your name when I first came onto the forums! I think we used to have battles on World Tour in TGC 2 back in the day before the grapes turned sour haha

When I shoot under par I feel it's a major accomplishment. We literally have less polling points on Xbox and thus fewer playable misses. You can still shoot great rounds on it sure, and many people (including me some weeks lol) compete but it's FAR harder to match consistency over four rounds or multiple weeks with fewer points to hit on the tempo gauge and bigger misses as a result. Doesn't bother me that much. I love the game and the challenge. I'm in Kinetic so not exactly struggling and there's plenty of great players on Xbox to compare against. And as someone says above if I really cared about competing above all else I'd buy a PlayStation. Sticks in the teeth a LITTLE that we've paid for an inferior version with a slightly faulty mechanic (and that the disparity is getting worse with each release rather than better) but it is what it is. Tgctours is just a bit of fun for most anyway I'd imagine.

I think 2k needs to really up their game on the next version of this game. Electronic Arts is now going to be competing with them.If they bring out another broken product. Most consumers won’t stand for it

Why the hell did they fk up the putting meter and show a white power thingo when it falls short by a metre or more? I thought white meant enough speed to reach the hole. Bloody annoying

I played most of my time in the other games and this one on xbox. There is a difference I can assure you.
But I will say that I'm positive i still have tempo issues on PS , without doubt but just not all the time.
Loading times on weekends are abysmal and I know that it is not my Internet. It's too coincidental that its every weekend.
I will also add that I was a decent putter on xbox compared to PS as I think the controller, as well as more user friendly (IMO) was less sensitive.

I don't think there's any difference between consoles with putting, it's just the other 50-odd shots! And yes, I much prefer the Xbox controllers over the PlayStation ones. Those people must have really little hands.

Tgctours is just a bit of fun for most anyway I'd imagine. Guys he spent 10 hours on the XB, he clearly knows better. I'm thinking that since I've played 850 rounds on the PC, I can tell the difference, even though I only played 10 hours on the XBox. As far as polling points, I don't see it. At first I did but I don't see it now. As far as perfects go, I'm all over the white, left and right. The same goes for the gray areas. That's the way I see it. On Masters, to me at least, there's no true difference between the XBox and the PC. All the complaining has to do with not being able to game the system any longer. I did have to abandon the DS4. It doesn't feel right to me; I gave it a good four days. Too much craziness with the tempo. I've gone back to the Xbox controller, and at least I feel a little more comfortable and shooting better. But I'm not about to go round and round with this thing with the Xbox. People will believe what they believe, including myself.
