mattyfromcanada can I just have one pinset instead of 4? It’s going to be hard to put 8 pins on one normal sized green.

Or you can double up on Pin locations and make sure Pin 1 for each hole is located opposite ends of the green and then share that spot with a different pin set going the opposite direction. But doing that might also confuse HB and give you fits

I would like to see trailducker win this one. Has experience with this kind of course. For a challenge, I’d like to see you try to sink those yellow bushes to get that grassy look this time.

You don't need to have a full 4 pins, but it is definitely preferred. It just takes some trial and error pinning the greens. Greens for this will probably be larger than a standard green, but going full St Andrew's takes away a lot of what we are trying to test you on. Play around with where you place your waypoints for the holes. Thats the best advice I can give for this.

Awww thanks TanMan! Let’s just say I already have a plan for it I’m pretty jazzed about. Have a stopping point I’m working towards on my CC course before I hop into this. Do you mean the bushes I used on my DL2.3 as grass? I used them maybe a bit too liberally as the critique I got was how close they were to the putting greens (although that was intentional). 🤪

mattyfromcanada yeah I think my greens will be a bit larger than usual but not outrageously huge. Putting multiple pins will be a fun challenge! Oh and sorry for asking so many questions, just want to make sure that I know all of the rules and guidelines 😀

Not sure if it will help or make things more confusing but here is the routing pic of Lazy River. The front nine is what I submitted last year for the design league contest and the back nine I built from scratch a couple of months ago. This is not necessarily a very good way of attacking this challenge but hopefully it helps you guys with some ideas for what is possible. Also, if anyone is struggling with placing pins from different holes on the same green I could throw together a short tutorial on how to get around some of the glitches you may encounter.

Can anyone enter these contests? Haven't done one yet; somewhat new to designing.

Can anyone enter these contests? Haven't done one yet; somewhat new to designing. Yup! No formal sign up, just complete a course that fits the parameters in the required amount of time. Post the name of it here (usually with DL2.4 being a part of the course name) and tag me so I can add you to the list of entrants.
