OK I think I fixed everything to make it fit the guidelines. Now its time to go build a good golf course! First tee sightline "good"* * friendly smack talk, no yellow card please 😂

another question mattyfromcanada : I have 4 par 3's on my plot, is there a restriction for how many par 3 or par 5's we have?

Lol @ cop out. Go try one nerd. - zero tolerance for any abuse directed towards other contestants or judges, helpful criticism is completely fine, but anyone crossing the line will not be eligible for future contests FIRST WARNING! helpful criticism:- understand it's harder to make good holes without bunkers than it is to make good holes with bunkers

Box checked! 🤣 Honestly with how far behind I am on CC why I'm even considering this is questionable... I think I've heard from others in this group that procrastination is the best motivator lol

This contest we wanted to challenge people to make hazards look and play good in multiple directions, that's all. ONE AND A HALF WARNINGS!!!

Do the greens need to be fully accessible from both angles or is it permissible to have large double greens with parts dedicated to one hole and parts dedicated to the reverse?

Basically I’m asking. Can I go with St Andrew’s (well maybe more Sheep Ranch with the design I’m thinking) style with the double greens or do they need to be normal sizes?

Basically I’m asking. Can I go with St Andrew’s (well maybe more Sheep Ranch with the design I’m thinking) style with the double greens or do they need to be normal sizes? To get a good idea of green sizes I would definitely play some of the courses listed, from my understanding, again being new myself, I would imagine that a slightly larger than normal green size would make sense to ensure land movement is impactful to both pins, so a traditional green size of 110perimeter yards could be well served to go about a 1/3 or 1/2 size more to make a successful attacking point form both hole options. My 2 cents, but I’ll let the pro’s chime in.

Ya I would go with normal greens. For this contest pretend like you're the only group out there golfing. Safety be damned! And agree with the comment saying to play some of the other entries from last contest.

Looking forward to this, as it solidifies my decision to not continue pursuing a CC course.
I ran into time issues, due to life, and ended up with partially finished entries to both National Treasure and DL 2.3.
I'm focusing on just DL 2.4 and with any remaining time I will continue finishing my NT course and button up a few remaining items on some other courses. Perhaps August will be a massive release cycle for me.
Good luck all and love all the designs throughout!

Last year's thread for this contest was very fun and casual, including the 4.7 miles of retaining walls that VctryLnSprts created for his course. For those interested, but who don't want to search through the thread, here is the list of courses, designers and placements from last year. 8th Place - Hateful 8 By Lukesca (Wins 30 pts.) 7th Place - The Eight Sin Club By Pablo (Wins 30 pts.) 6th Place - Snellens Desert Eight By ErixonStone (Wins 30 pts.) 5th Place - Lazy River By Lifeonaboard (Wins 40 pts.) 4th Place - Alestina CC - Alaska By Agrainger12 (Wins 40 pts.) 3rd Place - TGCT Design League #2 By VctryLnSprts (Wins 50 pts.) 2nd Place - Cantaloope Island Refuge By SkinniePost (Wins 75 pts.) Is there anywhere I need to sign up for design league or do I just make a course and submit it by the deadline?
