Hello all! New member here and I would like to promote a course of mine: THE COURSE ON LAC RHÉAUME.
This course was my third effort since I started designing in this game at Christmas
This course is based on an ACTUAL LAKE; Lac Rheaume, in southern Quebec, Canada. My family cottage sits on this lake and when I was up there in the winter, I pictured a golf course running along its shorelines and winding its way across the lakes' islands. So I recreated the lake as best I could (well, most of it - all I could fit in the allotted land) using Google Earth imagery as my guide.
The clubhouse sits on a small bay in the southeast corner of the lake - the same spot where my cottage sits. The course then winds through the exposed rock of the Canadian Shield. Four of the holes tee off from some of the small islands that sit on the lake, and several holes require shots across long(ish) spans of water. Power boats provide transportation from shoreline to shoreline on some holes as you move around the lake. You'll likely see a few cottages dotting the shorelines too - just be respectful of cottagers trying to enjoy the lake 🙂
Please give it a try and enjoy!
EDIT: How do I add pictures of the course?

Welcome in. Sounds like you are getting started the way many designers do with something close to home and your love of golf. Here is a link to a thread about course photos. Doyley talks about PC, but others chip in with how-to’s on consoles as well. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/117/tutorial-pictures-courses-pcIf you submit your course to the database our volunteer course photographer will also fly around and get 3 glamour shots to go on the course page on tgctours.com If you already have photos, it’s just a matter of clicking the picture frame tab at the top of the “create thread” area and uploading your jpg link

Happy to help out! It's a very lovely spot and obviously has sentimental value to you. The course plays very well and I had a day out with some lucky shots. I could have been luckier though with a few eagles going begging! I like the risk/reward of shaping some shots and I got away with a few. I gave it 5 stars!
You can check out my round here. It's always fun watching someone else go around your track.

Wow! What a response. Thanks sandgroper for not only playing the course, but posting the entire round of YT! Much appreciated and unexpected! You destroyed the course too ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) . Played it really well. I will try again to add photos (didn’t see any buttons to add a jpg), but in the meantime, just watch sandgroper’s round to see the course! Cheers everyone!
