Round 1 and I feel like I stole one from Celtic (-2 with 3 pars)
Round 2 and I am trying to return in (level with a lovely Double Humph on the last)
Just lost on my swing right now. Not a Sunday thing since this happened on Monday.
Onward.

Not a Sunday thing since this happened on Monday. Onward. It’s a funny old game. For part of yesterday (both Pro and Master level rounds) I felt I had things sussed and then later on in the day felt back to square one. Next thing I’ll try is recalibration before every session. Otherwise I’m at a loss.

Rd1 -10 Rd2 -3 Rd3 -4 Rd4 +13
Holed everything in Rd1, played well but couldn’t buy a putt in rds 2/3, rd4 was a joke. Got 2 11’s, one when I couldn’t get up a slope onto the green. There’s such a fine line with tempo that these courses chew you up when you’re not on it. Sorry guys, no humour this week. Onwards.

honeybadger64 While I'm loathe to give the Scretariat any help, my adjustment is off by 2 strokes this week. I know, I can't believe they let me in the Kinetic clubhouse either.

Some people are never bloody happy 🤣 Never thought my +8 would be good enough for a consolation goal though!!

Don’t get discouraged, Sam - this was a rather peculiar course and certainly not a CC course IMO.

2nd Round -1
Orlando were galvanised by the breakthrough goal and had another couple of efforts soon after it. Knowing going 2 down before half time could effectively kill the match Celtic hit back and got on level terms thanks to the head of Julien. A team always seems to be more vulnerable after scoring and Celtic are no exception as Orlando had two chances through striker Pule. We go into the break with the match still in the balance and everything to play for.

Round Three and Four
Not confident that -3 will make the cut in CC-B I decided to get this week over and done with. Surprisingly East Fife played their best football in the high winds. Probably a product of many, many miserable Saturday afternoons with a Baltic gale blowing across New Bayview. One mistake and some lovely attacking play saw them start the second half with 65 (-7).
The Tranmere keeper played a blinder in the closing stages tipping everything round the post. Nothing was dropping and a slight fast disappearing into a lake I didn't even notice to gift and opportunity to the home side in the dying minutes. 68 (-4) to finish with.
I suppose that four rounds under par on, by far, my least favourite course this season should make me happy but I am off to put an ice pack on my nether regions as there is an awful throbbing which suggests a number of punches in the family jewels.
Hey-Ho Onward!

Coming off a hard-fought draw The Old Lady wanted to make sure to get off to a strong start to try and get their first win of the season. It appears our tour of England continues as we are now matched up with Manchester United. Things got off to a flying start as Juve continued the great tempo they had been showing in practice. It didn't take long for the crisp passes to lead to a multitude of opportunities on goal. Ronaldo was able to get behind the defense and connect on crosses from all over the pitch. With all of these chances I'm sure 1 or 2 attempts will be finding the back of the net pending VAR's final decision going into halftime (R1: -14, R2: -12).
Given this showing the players didn't want to remain in the locker room for long and came right back out to try and pick up where they left off. The tempo in play was definitely still there but it appeared that the winds around the pitch began to gust during the break. Balls weren't quite meeting their targets early on in the half but once the team adjusted a bit they got things going again putting De Gea and all of Man U's defense under pressure (R3: -8). The clock was starting to tick away and Juve was feeling really good about their position in the match. We were still playing well but Chiellini and Bonucci started to show some signs of fatigue in the back allowing Cavani and Rashford to have an opportunity to put one in the back of the net (R4: -7).
Overall very happy with my play on that course but definitely left 3-4 shots out there in round 4. Looking forward to seeing how this match sorts itself out. Over to you jason755!

Good shooting FutureBuckeye11 but the imaginary match is in Turin. We use the correct format of home team first, correct because we invented it

But ya I knew this was a "home" match for us. I just meant that in the sense that I was playing another one of the top English clubs this week. Interested to see if the trend will continue once I see who you match me up with next week

Next week the Old Lady will entertain Continental European opposition, that's all I am saying.

Herne Bay thought that they were going to get new suits when they heard that Burton's were coming to Winchs Field, but quickly had to get their kit on once they realised it was the Burton Albion coach that pulled into the car park . Herne Bay didn't really have much of the play in the first 22 minutes after being caught with their pants down Rd 1 +4

The rest of the first half didn't quite match up to the champagne football they began with, but boy did City show some fight. Fight that was sadly lacking in the real team this season. I hope it's a good omen that this Nigel Pearson is very happy with how his new recruits are coming along.
Second round 62.
Parred 3 of the par 5's, one after going in the water off the tee and one after putting off the green. I count those as very good pars! It's only half way and I know it can all still go horribly wrong, but that's the best 36 holes I've played in a very long time. Who says we can't compete on Xbox? We can. People give up too easily.

If Nigel Pearson was still in charge at Brunton Park yesterday’s performance would have been very different. An astonishing first quarter would have seen the boys take a breather before going again. Unfortunately Nigel has moved on and the current incumbents philosophy of 100mph pressing attacking football isn’t something the squad can keep up for any length of time. Happy with the result - yes, very happy to get the win against unpredictable Coventry. “E i E i E i O up the football league we go”
