4th Round 65 (-7)
They say that winners will dig deep when their backs are against the wall, well Celtic did find their best form right at the end of the match. Rogic rattled the woodwork on the 68th minute which led to Celtic turning the screw on Herne Bay for the next 5 minutes. All credit to the visitors for weathering the storm and hitting Celtic on the counter, which seemed to take the wind out their sails.
Then with 7 minutes left a horrible defensive error let the Bay in for which may prove the decisive moment of the match. That only seemed to galvanize the home team to go on the front foot and attack which they did through Furuhashi, Abada and Forrest. Will that slip up cost Celtic their Premier League status or did they do enough to get them over the line, only time will tell.

An inspiring locker room speech at the half wasn't quite enough to prevent the inevitable. Cassino Calcio concedes the top of the mountain at the end.
((R3: 57)) ((R4: 62))

Herne Bay couldn't manage to keep it up for the whole of the second half and allowed Celtic the equaliser they desperately needed to stay in the Premier league rd 4 -2

Hi guys I’m not gonna be able to fulfil the rest of my rounds this week due to a family emergency I’m sorry for the short notice. Oh no! Burton didn’t want to earn a promotion this way. I think I speak for everyone here that we hope everything is OK! The Brewers weren’t as good in the second half (R3: -8, R4: -3), but in the end it hardly seems to matter. Thanks again honeybadger64 for running a top-notch competition and for adding extra meaning to our Challenge Circuit rounds every week!

End of Season ReportIn a somewhat chaotic final week, which made the attempts to launch a breakaway European Super League appear to be planned with military precision in comparison, Season Three of Pixel Golf Football staggered over the finish line like an marathon runner who missed their specially prepared drinks on every lap in thirty degree, 80% humidity. Did it all add up to a hill of beans? well maybe not. Let the record show that FutureBuckeye11 is better than cassinochips . He beat him in the league, the Cup and the Champions playoff final. Let the record also show that they were considerably better than the rest of us, with a slight nor to avjpfc who looked like Hibs/Hearts/Aberdeen/Dundee United et al as he almost broke the domination of the big two. If fransslabak could avoid one sh!te round each week then perhaps he could have been a contender. Art Vandelay and up mup kupen nup exhibited Sam Allardyce-esque ability to avoid the drop and make the lower end of mid-table mediocrity fashionable. Poor old Giraffe72 . Hampered by puppies, daughters, playing on XBox and living in Bristol, this season was much as one might expect of a real life Robins foray into the Premier Division. He didn't make the playoff before being escorted from the premises. Riotous was doing the exact opposite in the Championship, displaying Italian-American levels of performance, he delivered the sort of seeing to normally preceded by dinner and a movie. Carlisle would have maybe been good enough to shake things up but we will never know. With more in and outs than a French farce, SkyBlueBen decided that even though he earned a shot at the big time, he preferred bowling with the sausages down the gutters. That meant after a U-turn, the likes of which have not been seen since Brexit negotiations ended, I ended up joining LEFTY79 and sid snott in the playoffs to try to sit at the grown-ups table. Facing us were Celtic Wolf , jason755 and crushtastic . A family emergency caused Man United to allow Burton Albion a walkover win. The other two matches went to extra time but we were saved the agony of penalties. Celtic just did enough on the lowest aggregate total of adjusted scores to shatter the dreams of Herne Bay. East Fife similarly squeezed past Liverpool and would have been in the big time, for a season at least. Without Tombanator , statelyowl , xboxjonnyuk , thetaffman and mbuenger none of this would have been possible because we can't all win but we can all take part. To each and everyone of you, a heartfelt thank you for being part of this. I will miss putting these things together and writing the round ups. I will finish by saying that, for now....
