Ajax - Celtic Celtic WolfWell, errrr, I think it would be safe to say that Ajax partied a little too hard after winning the Pixel Golf Polling Points Cup... đđđ After the first ten minutes, Erik ten Hag mumbled something like âMarriott, lag, bar, polling b****, rum cola, stupid lag, hit it... aaaarrgghhhâ.

To start season 3, Orlando front office it would be a good idea to use some analytics, statistical feedback, during the match to help guide the Pirates. Midway through the first half, with the team having their noses buried in tablets looking at the numbers rather than playing, Zinnbauer called a timeout and promptly took all those devices tossed them in the nearest dumpster. "Just kick the bloody ball in the #@#$%#^@#% net of the other team!!!!" screamed Zinnbauer as that vein in the middle of his forehead was nearing a burst. The Bucs, mostly out of fear, responded. Although it may be too little against the vaunted Manchester United attack. Translation: After playing for months without the shot feedback on (distance only because I do like to see the numbers roll), I decided I would try it. This lead to two waterballs on 11 in round 1. Returned to numbers only on I think the 4th in round 2. It's voodoo I know, but it is the voodoo that I do. Not sure if -3 will make the cut, pretty sure that I will be fighting relegation again this season. BRING IT ON!! ONWARD!!!

Sorry folks, but I'm withdrawing from this now before the season starts. Totally lost interest in the game and don't want to have to force myself to play 4 extra CC rounds each week. Sorry honeybadger64 if that messes up the leagues (although it actually might help as it gets you back to 2 * 10)

1st Round -1
The Celtic players seemed to get caught up in the occasion of their debut match in the Premier League. Within 3 minutes they had a couple of defensive errors that would've been punished if Ajax weren't feeling a bit jaded after their cup win. They managed to survive a nervy opening 10 minutes with the defence being pulled all over the pitch.
Some composure returned to the team as they started making inroads to the Ajax goal with McGregor and Christie creating chances. But the breakthrough came courtesy of a great run by James Forrest who found the angle and slotted the ball coolly into the Ajax net.
Celtic have fond memories of Amsterdam from their 3-1 victory back in 2001.

Sorry to see Rob go. I understand that for some people the game has lost it's lustre, although I am one who is enjoying the challenges of having to adapt. I considered promoting Coventry as they were only a midge's away from it in the playoffs but Juventus will join the Premier Division and Ben won't have to send me threatening messages.
Congratulations to James Forrest who scores the first goal of the new season. Certain to impress an Australian manager nobody has ever heard of.
Round 1
Plenty of pre-season work saw East Fife approach their visit to the Camp Nou with, some might saw, foolhardy confidence. Practice had gone well and they felt like they could push the big boys hard if they stuck to their minimalist game plan (knock it down, knock it on, knock it in). Perhaps they weren't quite ready for a stadium with 52.29 times the capacity of New Bayview (even Herne Bay can accommodate twice as many fans). Chances were few and far between as they played error-free football. They only managed three shots on goal until inexplicably in the 22nd minute the keeper rushed forward for a corner and bulleted a header into the top corner (eagle on the last). 67 (-5) may not be enough but only a little below expectations.

Bugger, thought I was odds on for a season of Premiership glory. Been 20 years since the Sky Blues graced that level. Thought the glory days were returning to the Sky Blue city. How much did Juve bung you? These Italians love a bribe đ

Congratulations to James Forrest who scores the first goal of the new season. Certain to impress an Australian manager nobody has ever heard of. I don't think his wife even know who he is, I've heard he's not even got the correct badges to coach in Europe. The farce of a season has rolled over to pre-season, I think the fans would be happy with Roy Keane the way that things are going.

Herne Bay were disappointed when they went into the Leeds United changing room to get Billy Bremner's autograph for the managers brother who used to be a fan back in the days ,only he's not playing for the team now. The Bay started with chances of a goal up to the seventh, then got a bit lost for a while. Got back to finish the first 22 minutes at -4 . Hopefully that's enough for a goal as at the moment Leeds are a unknown quantity

Rd 1- Carlisle United -4
Itâs CUFC TV here getting fans reactions...
Eric âThe Vikingâ - âWeâve been looking forward to this day for months, our first League game! Bloody brilliant! The boys played well and Iâm confident after the good pre-season that theyâll get better and betterâ
âMidget gemâ Mitch - âTotal joke mate, game shud never av bin on in them conditions, far too Mork and Mindy for a game of football. We love you Carlisle we do, oh Carlisle we love youâ
âOne washâ Sue - âThe creative midfielders werenât given much opportunity to get into the game and when they did they struggled in the wind, I expect better as the match goes onâ

Rd 2 - Carlisle United -4
Letâs go back to Brunton Park as the referee blows for half time.. âThe Carlisle manager has walked head down into the tunnel, heâll be a bit disappointed with that performance, 3 individual errors and not enough goals scored from inside the penalty area. The conditions here were expected to get a bit easier but that hasnât been the case, and anything beyond 12 yards are half chances on this track. Luckily the midfield chipped in with a couple to make the score respectable, so from a windy but still optimistic Brunton Park itâs back to you in the studioâ

Ajax - Celtic Celtic Wolf Once again, Erik ten Hag's comments after the remainder of the first half were quite confusing: "Depressing golf course!" Reporters were left wondering what on earth that had to do with the game against Celtic but Erik wasn't willing to make any further comments, indicating that "if he would, he would probably be banned, so better not..." Round 2: -4

2nd Round -2
After taking the lead Celtic fell back, regrouped and waited for Ajax to respond, there was barely anything to note for the next 10 minutes. Some good link up play by the home team lead to TadiÄ seeing his shot ricochet off the woodwork. Celtic still seemed reluctant to push forward and were happy to have the 1 goal lead at half time. But a speculative ball forward by Ajer was gathered in by McGregor who's shot wriggled through a ruck of players and beyond Stekelenburg for Celtic's second.

Watkins on fire last 20 mins of the first half, now to see if the keeper of Biddlybong (or whatever they are called) can keep em out.
