bubbsboy100. Darren welcome to the madness known as the Dirtbags. You will officially start in next week tournament. Your team will be the All American Boys captained by sandsaver01 Mike Ricks. You will be replacing Mark Lawrence. Page 1 has a link to the scoresheets that we use each week. Any questions you have, most anyone can answer for you. As Paul already said, we play all four rounds regardless if you make the cut or not. The scores will show up under your name in the leaderboard. Mike Ricks can pick them up. Be sure when you finish a round tag sandsaver01 so he knows you have played. One of our main rules is to play all four rounds as your teammates are depending on you.
Bill Cheers. Best get my star spangled pants out of the cupboard. Been to Vegas few times so guess that counts :-) For info PS4 these days England (dont matter) F division.......the league for decidedly average :-) Since Darren is joining us I propose changing the team name to "Special Relationship Boys" or perhaps "Darren & the Colonials"

sandsaver01 A little late this week after just getting back from vacation and no time to practice. Struck the ball well tempo wise round 1 but my rust showed around the greens but managed to get to -5 in tough conditions. Round 2 started out hot with 6 birdies through 7 then my tempo started getting away from me and it was a colorful scorecard the rest of the way to a -9. Will hopefully get to my last 2 rounds later today

Greetings and welcome from me as well. We might not be teammates, but always glad to see new faces come along. bubbsboy100.Anyway, my first 2 rounds are down, and... safe to say, they were 2 very different rounds. One suggests I'm punching way above my league, other suggests I'm right where I should be. Round 1: +1 (73). I will say that anytime I aimed to balance out the wind, the tempo took me right at the aiming direction. Meant tons of rough to fight out of. I don't know how I survived to that score. I think I'll let my scorecard do the talking for this one, because... god damn. Have you ever seen anything like this? Round 2: -7 (65). And as I was already contemplating that I'll happily take a demotion out of D, this happens. Completely different round. Probably helped that there was almost no wind, but still. One bogey, lots of birdies. Might have saved the cut by making a 24 foot downhill putt for par on the 18th after putting it in the water by being a bloody idiot. Stats after 2 in group D because this is just nuts. 111th out of 113 in driving accuracy, 34.6%. T-105th in GIR, 36.1%. T-1st in putting, 1.139 putts per hole. T-63rd on the leaderboard and probably making it in through the cut, somehow. Can you tell at all what my strengths and weaknesses are as a player? sandsaver01

Rd3: -11 Shooting really well this tourney. Started off the round with an eagle on the par 4 1st, my 2nd par 4 eagle of the tournament. Definitely on the lucky side of the breaks at the moment! sandsaver01

I went through my Plat stats this morning... for this week 50% FIR (149th/154); 36.1% GIR (146/154); and 1.083 (7th/154). And my platinum averages (9 weeks): FIR/GIR/Putts: 61.5% (15th percentile) / 63.1% (22nd percentile) / 1.287 (74th percentile). Can we find someone to play the rest of the game for us while we putt?

I sure would hope so with stats like ours! Get someone to get us to the greens safely for scoring opportunities and we take it from there, would be absolutely brilliant!

My first kinetic round this week i hit 94% of greens but hit 30 putts, I think i'm a match for you fellas!

Reporting round two. I only hit maybe 5 - 6 red fasts or v fasts the whole round but every one cost me a stroke and one into the H 2O cost two. Had a fair number of birdies and an eagle so I hope that helps out my partner at least.

Just curious. I don't have a lot of extra time to play the game so I try to get a practice round in most weeks.
I am thinking about using that time on the range instead of the practice round. What % do you practice compared to the % you play.
Ms. Butt told me I needed much more time developing tempo than than practice rounds. What say you?

dansamp Dan don't beat yourself up on the range buddy! It obviously works for you though. Just curious Dan, how many rounds do you play a week? Ms. Butt and I are working on a new putting stroke! Sort of like a Mickelson reverse flop!

bubbsboy100. welcome to the Dirtbags! Don't play too well on weeks you play against us billybudd0623 and Violinguy69 , totally agree on the 18th. I had to layup short of the pond in round 1 because I put it in the bunker. Still managed to make a birdie. In round 2, I put it in the bunker again and had a good lie this time, which let me hit a hybrid out of the sand across to the other side. Left me 40 or so yards and I got that one up and down for birdie too. Kind of reminds me of last week's 10th hole - but on that one, you were stuck hitting a 5i approach regardless of what you did off the tee.

sandsaver01R2: -8 Encouraging to see an improvement from R1 and that I can shoot semi-lowish scores with the new swing. Good luck to all for the season ahead. Missed the cut in CCA by one shot though !
