sandsaver01R1: -1 Not a great start but a reflection of trying to get to grips with the new swing. Think I had six birdies but five bogies also. Hopefully scores start to improve over coming rounds.

first, Team 1 will be known as “We’re Snott Losing”, keeping with the theme of our recent postseason! I’m with the crowd that’s found the update pretty reinvigorating, I red fasted all drives and some irons strategically to fill gaps. Felt like I had to focus more on my drives and that kinda distracted me from worrying as much about me putting and some of my other usual bugaboos. Round 1 I did let the tempo change get in my head on the chipping - had some really awkward splashes and flop / pitch distances and was overly tentative trying not to fast. Was doing ok with the driver going for perfect until I hit a red fast and pulled one like 230 into the short water I didn’t even think was in play! Round 2 took advantage of nice conditions and just maybe getting some mojo back, love this course as it’s visually one of the best I’ve seen this year. R1: -4 R2: -10 sandsaver01 I see Pesky Peanut in unaffected by the swing change. That guy's on the top of the ps4 leaderboard every week LOL

sandsaver01-6 for me in RD 1 and same again in Rd 2. Pleased with the round one until a three putt bogey on the last took the edge off. Couldn't get the putting going in round two and missed four or five makeable ones. Was even at the turn, until a nice eagle on the 10th and a few more birdies brought me home respectable. I never deliberately red fasted so not much change for me. I struggle with pushing or pulling the swing plane, and play everything 102% power, which then reduces your window to hit perfects.

-4 round 1 for me, not bad. Gonna take me a little bit to adjust. Striving for perfects should make everybody a better player in the long run. There was no incentive to try and get perfects every swing, now there is. I like the new distance penalties for fast swings.

sandsaver01Round 1: +1 Bogeyed 1 and 5, birdied 6 and 8. one bogey on the back finished off a pretty blah round. Round 2: -7 Started with three good birdie looks, making two, eagled four after good second. Dropped 17 footer for birdie on 8, birdied 10 and18 after missing good looks at eagle. The very fast effed me mostly on pitch shots. May be the first round I’ve ever played with a clean card. If I hit very fast or very slow it kills quite a bit of distance, like a duck hook or shank, but the closer to the gray its not too bad. It’s mostly killing me on the short game shots

sandsaver01Springtime Rd2 -13 imgur.com/a/a1kGJ4dAbout as good as it gets for me... Tempo was locked in and the putts were short. If you can get it close, the slopes are really gentle on the greens in round 2. Almost a site for sore eyes trying to figure which way they're oriented...

Rd 1 +2 was looking at even until I sneezed and made a snotty mess on the 18th sandsaver01I normally use turn based ghosts on my rds and want to add anyone on the PS to my friends list to make finding ghosts easier . I'm guessing that most of the forum names are the same as the PS game names or similar. If you get a friends request, it's only me

billybudd0623Myrtle Beach was an excellent experience, hopefully I'l be able to go back sooner rather than later. Learned once I got down there that last week and this week are the two busiest weeks of the year for the golf courses down there. At least that's what the pro at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club told me. Fortunately I was able to play True Blue Monday (might be my favorite course I've played, loved everything about it, Mike Strantz design), Prestwick CC Front 9 Tuesday (not a fan of the Pete Dye design and the course was in subpar condition in my opinion), and Myrtle Beach National King's North Wednesday (Arnold Palmer design, another execellent golf course, very impressed with that one, three courses there, enormous facility). Lucky for me I threw around the GCSAA member card and got all of my golf comped for free (cost of $365 in greens fees) and got member/guest rates for my future father in law, brother in law, and his buddy. Weather was perfect too, 60° in the am, 70-75° for the high. The Golf Capitol of the World did not dissapoint. Played the coolest mini golf course I've ever played too, Cancun Lagoon Adventure Golf, 27 holes inside and out of a 50 ft tall Mayan Pyramid. Had an amazing slow roasted Prime Rib at a restaurant on the water, Bubba's Love Shack, affiliated with J Peters. Outside of that we did a lot of grilling. We were staying at the Ocean Lakes Family Campground, my soon to be father in law owns a pretty sweet RV we got to stay in. The trip couldn't have been much better, loved Myrtle Beach, SC!

abowidow5712I am from NC and would recommend Pinehurst in eastern NC and also the NC mountains offer great golf choices for future trips.

True Blue is awesome. I played there two years ago on a golf trip. Caledonia was also really good. Going back again in October!

sandsaver01 Just pulled a miracle round of -11 with no bogeys. Best round I've played in a veryyy long time. 11 birdies, but I think there's going to be a whole lot of birdies for everyone with this round two setup. All it takes is low wind and the ladies forward tees to get me in the low 60s! Announcement
I am looking for one replacement player for this season. Ideally, he would be in CC-F through CC-I. If you know of anyone, let me know. I am trying to keep the teams in balance as much as possible. The captains worked really hard to get even teams for us and I am trying to maintain that.
Thanks Bill
