Hi all, unfortunately I'd like to announce that I'm out for next season. I'm sure I'll still pop around the thread from time to time, but I'm excusing myself from most of my cross-platform competitions and focusing my limited summer time on XB societies.

Thanks Mike for all your hard work in making this league run smoothly.

Thanks Bill for everything you've done to put this group together.

And lastly, thanks to all the Dirtbags, it's been a blast!

I have just not been enjoying playing recently, and not even because of the HB/2K tempo fiddling. I have totally lost my putting touch, in fact I putted better in TST than any other Society the last couple of weeks. Anyway, that is a preface to my round two results - sorry team, I sucked . I missed countless numbers of putts, including a 6-8 footer for eagle, and otherwise just played like crap.

Also going to step aside. Time to put tgc aside for a while. Thanks for letting me join. I'll likely seek a spot when the next game comes around if you're still at it. Definitely made the game more enjoyable. Appreciate the effort you two put into this.

Unbelievable score from me in round 2, think that’s a PB!

Bill / Mike / Dan - I really appreciate you guys bringing me into the circle of dirtbags but I need to withdraw from next season. You know I have been having some serious domestic issues which are still ongoing and are really starting to ramp up with lawyers etc so I think it’s best for me to take a step back, get my affairs in order and hopefully return at a later date once everything has been sorted at my side. I’m hoping in 2-3 months time I’ll be in a much better place for when I return!

I’ll continue to see out this season though.

I'l play next season as well. Finished my first two rounds for this week,
Rd 1: -4
Rd 2: -2

Actually like the course they picked this week, fun to play.

Rd 3 was as bad as the second Rd was good +7
Was top of K after the second Rd, but blew it . Hopefully there's still a chance of a promo mark.
Shouldn't of opened my mouth about not getting as many fast reds as I got loads

My rounds are kind of all over - feels like either I'll hit 25% of fairways with no idea what's happening off the tee or 90%. Had it going early in R1, then closed terribly and R2 was way off. Went and played my Kinetic rounds in the middle and got going again and had a solid R3. Looks like I may somehow still survive and make my second cut in Kinetic despite a triple in R2.

1st round even

I love playing in 14-17 mph winds when I cannot control my swing in calm conditions.
Anyway birdies at 3,4 and 5 had me excited, then out of nowhere came a RED FAST into the water. Another peg in the ground and another ball in the drink. After the hole was over I had a 9 and went from -3 to +2. That took the starch out of this southern boy. 

For the most part I controlled my temper and my tempo. 

I fought back to get to even on the day. 6 birdies, 1 bogey and a friggin' 9 on a par 4. Good luck to all, most of us need it.

I’ve kicked off with opening rounds of -7 and -1(six birdies and five bogies).

I kept suffering where I pull back the analog stick and it just snaps back, not allowing my to get to the top of the back swing?

Man oh man, how could I screw this up so well?

Round 1: -4 (68). Wasn't the best round off the tee, however when you're hitting 2 out of 3 greens with a 28% FIR, those second and the occasional third found the mark nicely. Putting could have been slightly better but them's the breaks. Can't really complain since this has been the best I've been in CC in what feels like forever now. There was a 36 foot putt to highlight the round, which surprisingly wasn't even my longest made putt of these rounds!

Round 2: +3 (75). Here's the screw up. Wasn't bad at the back, something strange happened at the front where everything disappeared and went on a train of bogeys. Strange thing is, I snapped that out by sinking a 42 footer for birdie at the 9th from just about the edge of the green. Also a very neat 32 yard splash from the bunker for eagle on 12, plus a chip in at the next hole for par. Could have made the cut this week, but this round just didn't want me to. Good news is I'll make it without demo marks so my demotion to CC-E waits for another week. Still sitting at 3 marks so one really bad week seals it. Hoping this is the week things start to turn around, it's looking that way even if the results aren't quite there yet.

Will finish later in the week, I made it my goal to not finish all at once since that isn't doing anything good.

Wait. I finished under par for the event? huh..
Guess I can't really complain, seemed to play ok enough to not make a total mess of the 4 rounds. Doubt I'll ever see a -8 or -9 in this game. Or a 59 lol.

Echo the sentiments about sad to see dansamp go. (And others who are stepping down. I may have missed all those who said so not going to mention people for fear of leaving someone out. Wish everyone could stick around but sometime life gets in the way so it's understood.) My 1'st team captain for when I joined DB's all those years ago. Kind of nostalgic for those kind of things. Really sucks that the developer of the game has decided to fracture their gaming community and go all suicide bomber on their player base numbers. I can pontificate more but no need. Off to go play my 10 minutes before the rage quit.
