I could not make a putt to save my life, and I hate very firm greens more than any other setting in the game; give me very fast greens, very high winds, very firm fairways and soft to moderate greens any day!  |

This season was torpedoed by the swing change and maybe our attempt to make two divisions. This league is about competition and getting to know each other a little more. Most of the time, it accomplishes that goal. The captains work hard to try to make the league as balanced as possible. I, along with some of you are struggling big time. A few have 'figured it out' and are playing as well as always. sid snott Paul has even played a little better since the swing change. With the fact that time is needed to fill the roster for next season, the admin needs to know if you plan on playing another season or not. This will give us time to find replacements for those not returning. I hope you all return, but will understand if you don't.

In again Not sure how it seems to have worked out for me , but somehow I now get a lot less fast reds after the updates than before the updates. Back then nearly every shot seemed a fast red , if I adjusted to much then to make things worse I ended with a slow |

sandsaver01Recalibrated before round 1 and it was a complete trainwreck. Had a number of incredible par saves to prevent it from being worse than it was. Recalibrated again before round 2 and things went better. Just couldn’t finish it strong and ruined my march back to E R1: +6; R2: -1

Rd 1....+8
Rd 2....+5
Totally obliterated my partners score in Rd1 and only added one bird on 2nd round and that was on last hole. 35 holes of hell previous to that.
Just fasts and v fasts. When I slowed it I got a very slow. Just no rhythm at all.

I had to play all four rounds early this week since I'm going away tomorrow night until Sunday. Got my own four round tournament to play this weekend. Round 3 i think I only made 4 or 5 pars all round. I played the par 5s at -5 in round 3, which I really needed after how I've been playing them lately. Round 4 was another solid round filled with birdies. R3: -7 R4: -8 Hopefully can get some points out of those scores! I don't think I'm going to even make the cut this week but feels good to get two solid rounds in back to back. sandsaver01 |

sandsaver01Round 1: +4 Started with four pars while hitting some good shots. Made birdie on five then got a case of the red fasts and bogeyed 6 between 7 and 14. Ended with birdie on 18 after lipping an eagle putt Round 2: +4 Couldn’t hit an iron on most holes. Double on 8 due to four putt and double on 18 with a couple two foot sand shots. Only birds were 12 and 15.

I’m an out for next season I’m afraid, even though I think the updates actually benefited me versus the rest of the field. I’ll be getting married in July, family coming to stay etc... might not be able to play every week. |
