I remember from design league 1 that there were some really good play through videos uploaded to the thread. I think these were by the ever excellent b101 Is something similar being done for contest 2 as I really learned from the contest 1 playthroughs and would love to get feedback on my course for this contest. Also some playthroughs done by Wayne (WhataboutAmeobi) on twitch but uploaded to his YouTube channel also youtube.com/user/waynehufford

I know I said I'd stream some more tonight, but I got my first poke today and I'm pretty tired. I'd rather stream when I have more energy to do these courses justice.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Going live shortly, VOD will be saved if you can't tune in! Hi mattyfromcanada... just watched your DL 2.2 play through back... thanks for that, really value your feedback. All made perfect sense. Making good progress on my greens already based on the 2 DL contests so far. I definitely got a bit obsessed with centreline hazards with one side not really being a good option - will be thinking more about that. I think that, plus not always narrowing the driver-length landing area allowing for a wider range of options without penalising the golfer. Looking forward to contest 3!

Ok fellow nerds, going to stream shortly. As always, VOD will be available after. Thanks for the playthrough, bunkers and greens are definitely a problem for me. I just struggle so much with the sculpting and the way the bunkers sit, and haven't really figured out how to make interesting greens yet. I appreciate the feedback, and the planting compliments about all of my "purple Andres" LOL

Going live soon. Tune in (or don't, it's cool) !!! Hey mattyfromcanada been watching the playthroughs, enjoying them and picking up lots of tips along the way. Just got to mine, cheers for the time, and also the feedback, totally agree with you on the fairways, Ameobi said the same. As my first proper publish, after watching lots of tutorials out there, still got loads to learn but was quite happy with the outcome. As a new designer I struggled with the challenge to start, but then it helped me, had loads of fun doing the contest and loving tgc tours as a newbie, cheers for sorting, and cheers for the feedback, very much appreciated.

Wow, you guys did not make this easy at all. I'm not just saying that, making the top 10 here will be a big accomplishment as so many of these are of such high quality!
Hope to have results in by next weekend. I'll post here once those are in.
Best of luck in this contest and have fun with 2.3!

Glad I got to join in on the Friday drinking stream, had a lot of fun watching you play those. Saw you were live yesterday just now, so caught the vod and your playthrough of mine. Definitely agree with your assessment. I think I made a lot of improvements over 2.1, and yet I still know where my downfalls are, and places to look to improve. Love it and the feedback, and again good luck to everyone else! I don't think I will have the time for 2.3, but will absolutely love to watch the #funandcasual recreations of masterpiece stretches of holes. Good luck to everyone competing in that - it seems like a ton of fun, and quite the challenge. Also, complete sidenote: I've heard the mention of "CC" before, but I've had trouble finding the reference. Is this a design comp for more established builders? I know many people are wrapped up in NT stuff at the moment, but every time I've heard CC mentioned, I either think Country Club or completed courses lol.

Didn't know if Matty had time to answer, so I thought I'd jump in. "CC" on TGC = Challenge Circuit competitive division on TGC Tours. From the main page of the forums you can scroll down until you see "Challenge Circuit". There is a contest that sign-ups are going on and there will be a lottery for those who get in. The goal of the contest is to build a CC worthy course and likely the top courses will be used in tour events there. Rather than rehash the contest you can go to the following link, which discusses the rules, lottery process, etc. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/27533/2021-design-contest-discussion-threadWow, you guys did not make this easy at all.
