The Swing Path makes a huge difference.
Make your 3 iron have 85 Swing Path and make your 4 Iron have 100 Swing Path.
Next go into the driving range and toggle the 3 iron back to the 4 iron and you will see.
The white line is much bigger on the 100 Swing Path.
Timing seems to be second on the list for me.
Test 75 Timing versus 90 or higher and see how many perfects you hit.
I hit 40% more perfects with 90 timing compared to 75.
You can make low Timing and low Swing Path work but it will be more of a struggle.
Expect to swim a bit more in the rough and sand.
At the end of the day, putting is King.
If you can't make your medium and long putts go in, you'll be doomed to constant pars or worse.
Just my IMO which comes from 750 hours of gameplay and some testing so far.
PS: Lie Range is another big one if you test it at 90 or higher versus 72.
Transition is not a big deal.
I run it at 59 and have no issues when I compare it to something like 90.
Shaping is interesting as the higher the better but just don't shape your balls too much because when you miss this causes big misses the more you shape.
Unless you hit straight and perfects all day long.
In that case... shape away!
Power is amazing if you can control it.
Not so easy though.
Just my experience... you need to run your own tests as platform, controller and skill level cause massive variance.
Not to mention the never ending difference from course to course.
Some courses you may want more Rythm and other course you'll want more Power.
I love that part of 2k23.
Practice rounds for scouting and changing fittings or archetype to fit each individual course for your game style.
I switch between Powerhouse, Rythm and Sculptor a lot.
Sometimes I mess with Woodsman, but I don't find it near as useful.
I love Powerhouse on those courses with long, wide fairways but you'll need to master the pitch shot.
Once you figure out Pitch Shot, you'll love Hitting Bombs!
In your opinion what are the ideal putting stats? Lean heavier towards putt weight or a putt path?
I shoot about the same but I tend to shoot better with higher Swing Path and Timing.
I run something like 85 to 90 on my lie range which I think makes a difference.
I just feel like I get more control with the higher timing and swing path and I shoot about 2 strokes better with it.
I'm still undecided and this game drives me insane with too many choices to bang back and forth from.
A player might be better if they just set their clubs and forget about it.
But I like to fiddle and test all this out because it makes things more interesting to me.
Of course, you need the VC to constantly move stuff around, so you have to invest a lot of hours into the game if you do this.
Anyways, I think it is safe to say that everyone agrees that Putt Weight is far more important compared to Putt Path.
When I am on Rythm I have like 89 Weight and 73 Path and I notice a major difference compared in the putting to when the stats are lower.
With the higher stats I once again feel more control.
You can miss the putt path line all day long and your 5-to-15-foot putts will still go in.
That could change on the next patch but for now this seems to be how it is.
Last thing that needs to be said is that this could all be mental.
I'm Mental.
