Great news. I love competition. Maybe HB will start listening to their long time customers and make the game fun to play again . This game would be fun but it needs a level between Pro and Masters. Pro is too easy and Masters is too inconsistent unless you play fasts which I don’t.

I'm hitting either perfect or gray 95% of the time and each shot feels pretty fair.

I can hit inside the grey tempo box quite regularly when I get my rhythm on PC. Where it is inconsistent is across platforms, I have the game on PC and PS4 Pro and tempo is definitely easier on PS4 for some reason. It is also toughest on Xbox from feedback from Xbox users that now use PC.

I suppose that is how you handle tempo. Personally I think there is more skill in timing than pulling a stick back and forward straight which can also be so controller dependent. You can turn off tempo if that's your preference so you have a choice, personally it then becomes more like TGC1 which I didn't like. I love that they have made the driving harder as it felt automatic and too easy in TGC2019.

It boggles the mind reading these comments about how EA is crap and 2k is so wonderful. anyone remebmer the first generation put out by HB? It was pretty bad and look how they have improvedtheir product. EA coming into the market is the best thing that ever happened to the golf video game market. How so? Well both companies will sell their games for about the same price so to attract or retain customers they need to produce a better product than their competitor. EA is not going to enter the market and hope to entice us to move to them by putting out a rubbish product. Their design team is playing 2k21 and on these forums reading what people like and dislake about the current 2k game. 2k now has to up their game and deal with the blatant flaws and horrible programming issues that they have chosen to ignore because they had no competition. Now they have a big competitor working on a new product and they suddenly need to work on improvements to retain their customer base.
Either way we win because we are going to get to choose between 2 games and buy the product that best serves our wants and needs.
Bring it on I can't wait to see what will transpire in the next 6 to 18 months.

Competition should result in better products for us the customer/player. Exciting times ahead.

EA can get stuffed. They turned their back on us years ago in cutting away from making golf games, which is why most of us are here now I'm guessing.
plus they're scum after I got hacked on FIFA and got banned for it, so stuff em, no dollars from me.

I love that they have made the driving harder as it felt automatic and too easy in TGC2019. I agree with the Driving accuracy. My problem is my playing time has dropped tremendously, some friends quit playing and others pretty much gave up on Masters. For me most days I can’t be bothered to pick it up and play a quick round. It takes me 3 rounds to get the tempo feel unless I play it everyday multiple rounds. Then when you know others are using cheese swings it really just leaves me not wanted to put the time in since I will always be at a disadvantage. HB’a biggest issue is there lack of gameplay updates. Most AAA games have nonstop support and fixes pushed out to keep ahead of design flaws. EA will make a run at them, I hope for the game’s sake HB can meet the challenge or 2K will dump the product.

They never were good at addressing issues either. Must be a video golf game thing. If I remember right, TW 14 had an invisible golf club issue (among others) that was never fixed. There was a time when EA was voted “worst company” in America, beating out Bank of America lol. **In 2012 and 2013, the company was named "Worst Company in America" by Consumerist, while it was named the #5 most hated company in the United States by USA Today in 2018.** Despite some good efforts by EA (not everything they put out or distribute is horrible), they do have serious problems with the gaming public when it comes to trust and customer support.

HB was a small indie company and TGC1 was still a better golf game than EA's Rory which was a massive step back and an embarrassment and not even worth the £6 I spent on it. It is good that there are 2 players in the video golf game market and I can choose no to give EA any money as they are not the only choice anymore as they were for many years..

Lots of people here act like EA is the only company capable of disappointing its customers...
I am a baseball fan, and back in the day, the only console I had was an Xbox 360. And the only baseball games for that system were from the MLB 2K series, published and developed in-house by the same company that now owns HB Studios.
The games were glitchy messes, they would freeze all the time, never allowing you to progress through seasons in Franchise Mode. And they never fixed any of the problems. Not to mention, in response to EA locking up the NFL exclusive rights, 2K got MLB's exclusive rights which killed the amazing MVP Baseball series. I swore off 2K products for many years because of this.
So yes, EA disappointed everyone with Rory. But let's not be too naive and think EA is the only one out there who can let their customers down.

Shocking that you bring in your economic/political views somewhere....Surely this is healthy to have extreme views on the above mentioned spectrums let alone towards a celebrity.. no? Did you not hug your stuffed animals again? I meant competition is good. Is that ok to say? Lol yes I am unhealthy because I think Tiger is awesome. Taking my meds now doctor. Fair response. Don't take my drunk responses too seriously. (Back to the topic again folks)

I really enjoyed EA's Tiger Woods '14. I did not use the online play but did career mode. You had to play numerous rounds as an amateur (60+ rounds approx) to build up your skill attributes, then you could try Q school and get on the Web.com and then hopefully get your PGA card. It had decent courses offered in game, about 30. The only reason I gravitated to TGC19 was due to my Play Station 3 crapping out on me. I do like TGC series despite some of the flaws, but no game is perfect. If a portion of the game sucks, then it sucks for all of us and we play on a somewhat level playing field. If EA Sports uses TW'14 as a starting point and super charges it then I'm willing to give it a go. I'd switch to a PS 4 or 5 since PS controllers are more ergonomically better in design vs that of Xbox...in my humble opinion.
