agree 100% EA needs to bring country clubs back a big mistake on their part

EA is coming out with their own version of the Clubhouse Pass:
One round career mode events are coming, turn based match play is coming, Olympia Fields is coming, and the next patch drops Thursday.
Ryder Cup stuff is talked about, too...they will be adding offline and online Ryder Cup modes. They will also be adding 2v2 turn based modes for the Ryder Cup, so all event types in the actual Ryder Cup will be playable in the game (foursomes, fourball, singles).

really good how they keep adding content just wish they would do country clubs but been told they have no plans for this which is a shame

Have the swing mechanics, ball physics and general gameplay improved to the point where it competes toe-to-toe with 2K23 ?? 2K23 still the king IMO. Still enjoy playing it. Closest thing we have to 'controlling' a shot. EA at, and shortly after, release felt like auto pilot golf in comparison. If it has improved then I may just boot it up again.

Downloaded new patch, didn't see many changes yet other than the Pro selection of micro-transactions. You get some free and a lot of premium where it takes real money...no thanks.

I still had four hours of game available, I tried to give it a chance...after the various patches, now I don't know if it's the PC version, but it's the worst game I've ever played, even under LSD it wouldn't be playable, too the players are crooked, ziokan how ugly

The only thing keeping 2K23 active is this site/ forum and some of them have made it personal because they want people to come back to 2K23. I do appreciate the admin and everything they've done, and have also donated because I do not want this support to end, but the lengths some go to bash EA's game is both hysterical and embarrassing. It's almost as bad as the console wars. |

Each to their own I prefer 2K23 game to EA’s effort but only because the gameplay in EA golf is so pedestrian compared to 2K. I can play a round on 2K in about 15 mins but the same round takes me twice as long on EA golf

It's almost as bad as the console wars. It's a thread about a video game for goodness sake. Bashing the game is not a personal insult to you. The problem is there is so much to criticise about the game. Yeah some might like the easy more chilled out approach (probably those who struggle with tempo on 2K23). There is no feel to the swing at all in EA's game. The putting is awful, just really crap. Flop shot is horrendous, as is the whole scrambling game if you think about it. The swing has the worse lag imaginable in a sports game, it's like streaming the game with awful latency. The toughest swing difficulty is just too easy. 3 click is way too slow to have a challenge. 3D grass draw distance is terrible. The physics where the ball rolls downhill through the rough is just silly as is the way they move your ball from off a slope to a flatter lie. If there was no other golf game I still wouldn't play the game, it's that poor. Also your comment about 2K23 only being active because of TGCTours is nonsense. TGCTours is a minute fraction of the people that play the game throughout every platform. I am sorry you're upset or you think it's embarrassing that people dig EA's golf game but there are plenty of good reasons to. A good single player career mode just doesn't do it for most as the online options are piss poor. |
