Just bookmarking this as I'm in the early stages of working on a LiDAR version of Wentworth's famous West Course.
The data is from 2020 so has all of the recent bunkering changes and with the expanded designer we now have I should be able to replicate all of the trees as they are in real life.
Will post some photos once we have something photo worthy

It's at about 20%, just finishing Hayling Golf Club at 85% done and then I'm jumping into this full steam - it'll be a real long project but winter is coming so I've got plenty of time, especially if we have more lockdowns coming! There's a lot of challenges with the size of the plot to plant it all so I'll have to be very strategic but I feel like I've got a plan at least. Are you working on anything currently?

Also thank you for highlighting this video! I recorded all of the coverage on Sunday for references but this will be very helpful as already on PC so thank you!

Old Course Lidar about 70%,Muirfield Lidar about 60%,London Club Heritage 90% (cazoo classic course 2021),Littlestone Golf club 60%,Royal West Norfolk (brancaster) 80%
Trouble is i only used to design them to play them on xbox,Since the swing change don't play anymore on the xbox,so now there more a design study of the course than an actual design do most of the course and just play them now and again on Laptop.Once i have done the course now and its playable just move onto something else to look and study at because it seems to me certain site's not really interested in real courses anymore.
The Gravity Tour as always wanted Woburn in the game and in the last few weeks been some 2021 lidar for the marquess course there, might throw something together for them.

Sounds interesting, I'd love to see Littlestone and Royal West Norfolk in the game, our soceity only plays real courses, particularly older, shorter courses as they work better on master difficulty. I for one love your courses so it would be a shame if they stopped being released. Your Prince's releases were my favourite for the year!

i see if i can get Royal West Norfolk done for you, Brancaster at high tide 8th/9th just plays better with some water.

It's the advantage of Lidar it does create a bigger plot than a normal plot, only downside especially for me playing on the old Xbox, you have to be careful of the file size because of crashes and what you can add to it, its just over 2700 yards from the clubhouse road to the back of the 9th.Ill let paddy get on with wentworth now feel's a bit wrong taking over his topic. Also added a few TGC tees to it on the plot so it plays at 7000 yards just a little too short with the normal tees but as always put them in as well.

With Hayling Island being published, this is now officially on and will be my focus until completion, it's also winter now in the UK so I have time again! The plot is just ridiculously large - 4,270,420 square yards to be precise. I imagine this is why nobody has attempted this yet. That said, The Country Club at Brookline was also quite big and I developed methods for hiding large areas during that build so I feel confident Have some plot snaps; So far I've replaced the immediate vicinity LiDAR trees with the correct type of trees which has given me a starting point for planting, The LiDAR trees are only worth using as a height + Location guide and nothing else in my opinion and even then I find myself moving and adjusting them as I go. I've also been unfortunate with the terrain around the hazards, despite being 2020 data just look at the monstrosities I have on the 8th and 18th; Both are going to require a F**k load of hand sculpting before I even consider attaching a retainer wall to them. The bunkers will all have to be re-done as well to get the unique shapes nailed down with a small brush. As a pilot episode I'm going to have a crack at completing the 14th hole first as it has both varieties of trees (deciduous and coniferous) plus it has long grass, heather and the famous rhododendron bushes. All of these elements feature throughout the course so doing a complete short hole first will allow me to nail these features and then duplicate across the plot. It also means if I cock up the look, it'll only be a few hours work to re-do. Couple of points I'll be getting opinions on; looking at photos and footage, it appears the West course is quite keen on light rough all the way around greenside traps and occasionally fairway traps. Should I replicate this similar to what I did at Mill Ride?; Or do I keep with conventional fairway collar only light rough? Could post a comparison on the 14th

I did design the 2nd hole whilst the PGA was on,it was before i had noticed the above video 1st ever flythrough of Wentworth i reckon. Hopefully i am getting my interest in the game back since the patch Got the old course open 2015 (lidar) about 60% Muirfield 2013 open (lidar) the same,London Club Heritage about 95% done,Brancaster around 80% and littlestone about 60% but i keep getting distracted by new course downloads layouts and just make them playable to study the layouts and don't really commit to full designs because they take me so long to do. Should also note the version in game is very good also especially Height elevation wise etc, just a shame its the old layout and the routing of the holes just seem a bit off in places but overall its a stunning design.
