R1 -6 R2 -8 Remember it's only a friendly, take it easy on me 😎 Good luck and welcome Juve. Juve opened the 1st half with pretty consistent tempo with crisp passes allowing them to get into proper positions all over the field. This resulted in them getting an opening goal to make it 1-0 (R1: -10). As has been typical all year getting a 1-0 lead usually lead to complacent play which was again seen at the half hour mark. Thankfully, they picked it back up the final 10 minutes and closed out strong to keep the score as is going into half time (R2: -10).
Thanks for the warm welcome avjpfc, you definitely made me have to work these first 2 rounds. Well played so far!

Ajax - Finnish guys with a diaeresis on every possible vowel Playoff Erik ten Hag shouted and puffed and huffed at half-time. He left a few in the dressing room and sent 3 new players onto the pitch for the second half. All three of them scored an own goal... Luckily, the other eight managed to fire shot after shot at the Finnish goal. Whether that's going to help Ajax against Litmanen's friends... only time will tell. And, obviously, Litmanen's friends are the Godenzonen's friends. BUT NOT TODAY! Round 3: -11 (and yes, that included 3 bogeys... )

Well, as I eluded to, a Juve 1-0 lead this season is way less secure than it had been in the previous 9 years of our dynasty. Early in the 2nd half it looked like we would cruise to a 2-0 lead but a costly turnover and loss of focus led to an opposition goal to level it 1-1 (R3: -7). Now that we knew the pressure was on we tried to force things to happen the last quarter of an hour. This too led to unforced errors and a breakaway goal by the opposition to finish off the comeback 2-1 (R4: -6). Although this was a friendly I definitely felt my competitive spirit come out so its tough not walking away with at least a draw but it was a good way to get my feet wet in this format. Looking forward to the start of the new season!

First half completed by City. The next 20 minutes had some better attacking play and some worse defensive howlers which all added up to the same result as the first 25.
Second round another 69.
Just playing for pixel football from here, hopefully -2 won't gain any demo marks but certainly not making the cut. This game is brutal at the moment when you're slightly off. I'm going to keep grinding but I need to figure something out soon. It's the complete lack of a near miss, every shot is either golden or dead. If they made the grey areas a bit bigger we might be on to something.

Pirates played a bit better in the second half, only a couple of miscues but the offence is still scurvy-laden.
Rd 3 -7
Rd 4 -5
Surprised to be inside the cut at -2. Still early but the numbers are way down at this point. I'm sure enough others will play well enough to give me a M/C.
Onward.

Friendly V Leeds Rd 3 -4 Rd 4 -8
Overall the boys played well but there are selection decisions to be made, the midfield attack at every opportunity and seeing as they aren’t blessed with Posh league skills we find Par saves aren’t rare. Fortunately the big man, little man combination up front got better as the match went on. Biggest decision is what to do at the back, the keeper is very accurate with his Kicks but he’s not the longest and is prone to losing concentration once a round which results in a few too many bogies. The assistant manager has seen a keeper that kicks a bit further, so we’ll see if we can get him a trial over the next few days.

I'm thinking about something similar for my pixel golf version.

Obviously it’s more down to the owner than the players. Perhaps I just need to find a more clinical player around the box.

2nd Round -1 Celtic were quite steady for a the next 12 minutes and managed to create a few opportunities, one fell to the youngster Dembele who lacked the composure to apply the finish. But as the half wore on the more Orlando came into the game and they got themselves on even terms courtesy of a coolly struck finish by Makaringe. Celtic's promotion into the top tier has been noticed abroad and grabbed the attention of Albanian President Ilir Meta. He has opened a supporters club in Tirana and can be seen tweeting about his Celtic alongside tweets about his presidential duties. Bizarre but true

Second half has kicked off in my promotion/relegation battle against the Brewers. Suspecting I may already be 2-0 down I instructed my players to press forwards and shoot on sight.
Third round 64 (-6)
Summed up everything that's wrong with this game on Xbox at the moment. My round contained TWO pars. I'm either on it and giving myself birdie chances, or I'm miles away and making bogeys. There is nothing inbetween. The other very telling stat, my modest -8 thru 3 rounds was 5th on the Xbox leaderboard last night. Let that sink in for a minute. I'm not moaning, I'm just saying it like it is. We're struggling, and I can see why so many are quite bitter and quitting.
Not me though, not yet.

Man U v Coventry Round 2 -2 Although Man U had more possession Coventry came into the game twice coming close to an equaliser but 5 mins from the break Utd broke clear and slotted in the bottom corner to lead 2-0 at the interval.
