Friendly V Leeds Utd A level of skill in the first half that has never been seen at Brunton Park, -5 at the turn had the supporters skipping to the urinals. Normal service resumed on the back nine, Carlisle finished Rd One on -5 (65) Notes - Bloody hard track for CC Good to see you back Sam. This group is a lot of fun apart from the odd moany git popping his head up occasionally!! Roll on the new season!! PUSB

Rd 2 Friendly V Leeds
The manager played a couple of trialists upfront in the first half, neither of whom will be seen again! Turned at level par after missing too many easy chances. The midfield chipped in on number 12 and the usual strikers hit the target to finish the day on -4 (66)
Notes - change of tee position, but breaking with tradition some holes were shorter and some longer than the Rd 1 tee positions- odd.
Good to see familiar names in here, hope you’re all well!

Someone found out how to manipulate the tee positions so it is now not uncommon to have four sets of tees that play roughly similar yardages but present different challenges. Not a bad thing IMO especially on courses used on tour.

Assuming I'm playing a friendly - and played like it!!! -4 -10 -10 -7 Sorry Rob I meant to put out something this morning but forgot after I set up the score sheets, had an early tee time in real life and we have to get them in before the Honey Monster realises that he needs to smack another Northern Town to make everyone follow the rules.

Apologies to the group for letting my frustration boil over earlier. I’ve got to knuckle down and get the short game sorted.
I fear my play off chances have gone but can’t wait for the new season to get underway. Pixel Golf Football and NFL Stableford are my only reasons for cracking on with Master.
In other news the Super Soaraway Stupendous Sky Blues will be backed in Season 3 by their new mascot, Rosie.

Ajax - Finnish guys with a diaeresis on every possible vowel
Playoff
Erik ten Hag is fuming after the first 20 minutes...
“You idiots!! Are you really gonna get yourselves relegated?”
Oh dear... the Ajax players are in for a punishment at half-time if they don’t get their act together...
Round 1: -8

Round 2: -9
I'm not at all sure that that's enough to calm down Erik... I truly fear for the Ajax players.
Okay, I have to ask: Is the CC scheduler trying to get as many players as possible to leave the Challenge Circuit or what? Seriously, there are literally hundreds of better, more suitable courses out there...

Barcelona - Canterbury United Barcelona come into the match with the Dragons having taken an entire week off practice thinking their season was finished. They were surprised to learn they were hosting a friendly and also that there were more changes to how pace of play was measured. Having never fully recovered from the last change, this was sure to be an adventure for the Blaugrana. The stars were notably absent from the first team as they had started their summer vacations and it showed in the score. Very erratic play defined the start of the game as Barca struggled to get going. The end of the first half saw Barca playing better but their good play was ruined by a horrid defensive gaff in stoppage time. Barca opened the second half playing well but just couldn’t quite finish in the final third before completely falling apart to close the game. Barca look forward to working on their game in the off-season and are looking forward to competing in the Championship Division R1: +4; R2: +2; R3: -2; R4: +6

Well let's see if I can beat the Bristol City playoffs hoodoo and actually get promoted. 0/5 in the real thing so far included 3 defeats in the final. Exciting, but ultimately miserable.
Opening round a battling 69 (-1). It's a tough old game these days, but I actually quite enjoyed the battle. I have no idea how competitive that's going to be?

1st Round +1
There's no better time than pre-season to try out new equipment, tactics and get used to the challenge that lies ahead. Celtic have been fortunate enough to have a friendly match against a team that will prepare them for the season ahead, and their first ever opponents in the Pixel Golf Football League.
They started out well with a couple of chances but Orlando hit back with 3 chances in as many minutes and the Celtic defence were living a charmed life and got through it unscathed. On the 15th minute a nice little chip by Griffiths gave Celtic the lead and the striker a chance to get more game time in the upcoming season. The Pirates did have a chance of their own just after 20 minutes but Mabasa failed to capitalise from it.
