I have solid evidences of the existence of two cliques in this community. Me and then, the rest of the community under the BlamePablo "secret code"  BTW, congrats to the top 10 courses, all of them really deserving the spot |

Prepare, this is a long one.
All I can say is that I am not a member of a clique and I have only got through the first round once.
However that is down to me not finishing of my courses properly in regards to planting.
The reason so many of the same people get through to the top 10 all the time is that they take the time to design amazing courses in playability and aesthetics and have the technical ability to put it all together.
Also when it comes to judging there will always be a matter of opinion. Look at how devisive Halmstatt was last year. Also I know when judging last rookie contest that there were courses that went further than I would have rated them including one that made 5 and yet I would have ranked as one of the worst I had to judge.
While it may seem like there are small groups that always stick together and no-one else is good enough, it simply isn't true and at end of the day we should all just admire the amazing courses and we should all just support each other.

The real play is when you start doing worse in contests, then join a clique so you can blame it on everyone else not liking your clique.  |
