Wow. Thank you everyone. Strange feeling as I am happy to have won, but still shocked to have been selected over the strong field we had.
The guys in this competition all stepped up and I think that the style of the contest had a lot to do with it.
Like a lot of guys around here, I go through burn out in the designer and before the idea of this contest came up I think it was at an all time high for me. No ideas. Not really liking what I was laying down. But the challenge of having a country selected for me brought out a certain competitiveness in being outside my comfort zone.
I hope this contest sticks around in the future because I think anyone could win it.

I hope this contest sticks around in the future because I think anyone could win it. 100% agreed here I ending up focusing on the environment and different parts of a course than I normally ever would, really had fun creating something unique here even if I fell short elsewhere. I never normally woulve made a course like this one, cheers to all who participated and added some much needed variety to the course pool |

Congratulations jwtexan. Really enjoyable course and fusion of an inspired style, environment and playability. I've always wanted to go to the Maldives, so thanks for the taste. This was a super-fun contest full of fantastic designs and imagination, and thank you to the hosts and judges as well. |
