@cd06 Anyone can enter! The publish window is the entire contest length, so if you build a course you're happy with in 3 or 4 days, feel free to publish anytime! I don't know much about Switch designing, but as long as I can play it on console/pc you're good to go!

Awesome Matt, thank you! I've been practicing in the designer but just trying to have some fun!

One more question: do you have to enter every event? I'm going to try and take part in as many as possible but just wanted to make sure. (I think the large number of questions I'm asking means I'm looking forward to it )

Not at all! If you want to do all of them, great! If you don't want to do all of them, great! It's whatever you have time for

This is just the thing to get me back into the game and designing again. I have my border laid out (splined trees) which I will remove after my surfaces are down and the holes routed. Now to actually building the holes.

I'm actually considering doing this stuff! I'm on a Switch and it is a buggy mess, so I can't really do a full 18 quickly. Should have enough time to do 6 though, and with no courses in the database... sounds like a great warm-up! (Also, probably won't be able to put Switch screenies on here but never mind.) 1. Do you accept people who only have some practice in the designer? 2. Is there a specific publish window, or just a deadline? 3. Any problems with me entering courses on a Switch? Thanks! (Also, I'll try and move to a better console at some stage ) 1. Do you accept people who only have some practice in the designer? Answer: Yes, that's what design league is for and that's to provide a place for designers to compete in small design scenarios (ie, 6 holes in limited space, 6 holes along a body of water, etc) It's here for learning, fun and a chance for all of us to get better as designers, from the new designer to the old guard. Welcome!2. Is there a specific publish window, or just a deadline? Answer: Each contest has a specific window from when designs can begin and when they need to be entered by. See each thread for the specifics on that contest details, start and publish windows and any other info. To enter you simply publish the design in the game and post in each contest thread that your entry is published and the name it's published under. Note: most people publish with obscure names (ie TGC Design League #1, DLHigFall2222, or anything else that ensures that it won't show up easily for people to find. Judges search on the name you enter in the thread posting.
3. Any problems with me entering courses on a Switch? Answer: Nope, as courses are entered on virtually every platform. Just be sure to follow the rules for no file sharing (on PC) and any other specifics.

Design League 2 ideas are flowing much faster than WCOD stuff, All my courses are in the middle of nowhere so I thought I'd try a desert city theme next! Thought I'd show my cards early for this one, though it might completely be different in a week lol

And... that's when I realise I don't stand much chance with my quirky bunkerless WIP.
Looks awesome buddy, definitely looking forward to trying it when you get it done!

Welp, mine is also desert themed like Q's course. Not sure mine will be better, but it's at least a different, more rural vibe. Lots and lots of planting to do still. Love all the participation in this contest. Definitely feels like it's gonna be another good one! Hope it's not a problem to post after Q and I don't wanna downplay the hype on that course. Just wanted to post this before I put it aside for a bit for WCOD.

Everything you make is something to watch out for!

I've fully jumped in this. I'm in a competition on facebook that started this week as well so probably going to blow through this pretty quickly so I can hop back on that. Got the materials and water all laid out. Just gotta playtest and plant this B. Welcome to the jungle!

Unfortunately, my Switch crashes the game every time I try to load a WIP. Therefore I probably won't be able to enter any contests until this either gets fixed or I get a better console.
I'm really disappointed, but I can't do much about it. I'll try and give an update soon but for now I'll have to stop.

Not going to post any WIP pics as it is a pain to save on PS4 and then transfer to pc, upload to Imgur and then post but it is country themed. Par for each hole is 4,5,4,3,4,4 and has some variety to each. All greens are laid out and have started marking out bunkers.

Does the rectangle have to be 350 x 800 or can it be something like 1000 x 250 or 1200 x 200 (less total square yardage)?
