Half Time Round Up Mathematically Burton can still be pipped for that spot by Villa but the Brummies cannot afford any mistakes against the mercurial Ajax team. R2 -7 Too much pressure! ....think I'm up against it in the second half though.

Ajax came out for the 2nd half on fire, couldn't get anywhere near them.
Great scoring from them in a windy Amsterdam. 👏🏻👏🏻

The tumble to the bottom of the table continues for Cassino Calcio. With the wind taken out of their sails by Liverpool in the first half, the boys in blue stumbled out of the locker room looking bereft of hope, and only gave a half-hearted challenge to the homestanding EPL squad. Serious questions for management are forthcoming in the short off-season as a potential championship run cratered to a middle-of-the-pack finish.
((R3: 67)) ((R4: 65))

R4 -10 Ended the match well and the game finishes Desmond, realistically I think that's probably the best i could of hoped for with the way Ajax started off each half. Good game.

After scoring a goal late in the first half Herne Bay returned for the second half trying to hold out for the draw, but this back fired as Bristol City scored twice in the second half to claim the win Rd 3 +2 Rd 4 +4

Apparently the Herne Bay manager has been reading tea leaves, because I've only just played the fourth round!
The boys in red will be getting their nails done after all, played pretty well until a couple of late lapses in concentration gave the ball away a few times. Another 66, should have been better. I really feel like my new boots have improved my game, just got to try and start reflecting that in my scoring.
Good game Paul. I was actually hoping it would end up 2-2.

I have made the call for the match between Spurs and Tranmere. I have no wish to pester John any further and just wish him a speedy recovery. As discussed earlier in the week, we will use Pete Mollon's rounds for Spurs this week. I am sure as a Chelsea fan he will be delighted to represent an London rival but I have added his scores to the match and adjusted the calculations to reflect his CC-H status. So far we are looking good for the expansion plans for season two with five new players signed up. I will commence the final push this weekend to fill the last three spots. I will thank up mup kupen nup for publicising our group elsewhere which may ease my workload.

Tranmere were for a change quite consistent in this game, instead of a poor start and crap finish they had a crap start and a good finish to the end of the match R3 73 (+2) Adjusted 67 R4 67 (-4) Adjusted 61 However the gane isn't important as long as Spurs manager makes a full recovery that is the main thing

After the defeat at the new boots of Bristol City, Herne Bay has been demoted to CC-K for season two and most likely div three here.

1st Round -1
With nothing but pride to play for in this match it started off slow with Celtic not showing any real intent of pushing forward. There was a brief flurry of action as the home team had their first chance through Edouard, then Bristol hit back immediately with a couple of efforts of their own. Christie then Edouard again tried their luck to try and break the deadlock. The season had took it's toll on the pitch as it played slower than what Celtic have been used to.

Season One - Finals WeekCovid Champions LeagueThere were a few raised eyebrows in the Pixel Golf world when LEFTY79 's Burton Albion finally beat the hugely consistent West Ham side led by rob4590 and qualify for the big match. They meet crushtastic and his Liverpool side who are unbeaten through the two qualifying phases and have topped their group both times. The Old Hands in the press box are quick to point out that the idea of Pixel Golf Football was to try to level the playing field a bit and allow those from lower flights to be rewarded for good play and have a chance against the top players. This seems to have worked reasonably well in the first season and we see two consistent teams managed by wily individuals and everyone is looking forward to a great final. The Hammers will, no doubt, be looking to see off Art Vandelay and his African dark horses (no pun intended), Orlando Pirates, and show that last week was just a blip. Villa take on Man Utd which sees the consistently inconsistent avjpfc and jason755 meet for the first time this season. The last game sees fransslabak take on cassinochips in a European encounter. God only knows what sort of match this will be as Cassino Calcio have experienced a major slump in the last couple of weeks after a very bright start to the season and Ajax are capable of almost anything, judging by their season so far. Grab the popcorn and get comfortable. Lockdown CupThe Coventry City manager SkyBlueBen will be greeted onto the pitch by a guard of honour from the East Fife players and school children scattering rose petals infused with the scent of Brut 33. This is to mark his elevation this week to Tour Legend status. It has taken eighteen months of dedicated work to achieve this. Rarely has he managed to allow the opening of an envelope to pass without opening an new thread in Community Run Events and get it stickied. Seriously though it is a little reward for all the hard work he has put in through a number of competitions and here's to the next 5000 posts. East Fife and Coventry are also in the final due to solid play and judicious application of the round score adjustor. Last week's defeat of one of the most consistent players around the TGC community, up mup kupen nup means that Kevin and his F91 Diddeleng team will play off against Spurs rather than competing for the second tier trophy. Whether 'The Stricken One' xboxjonnyuk will be able to lead the Lilywhites is in the hands of the NHS and The Test and Trace system. If he hasn't recovered sufficiently then bogeyman will continue to deputise for him, This worked well enough last week when he guided them to a narrow win against Tranmere. That win meant that devoted Celtic fan Celtic Wolf will take charge against another Tour Legend, Giraffe72 rather than Luxembourg's most expansive forehead. This may be welcome news at Celtic Park where a good finish to the season would be welcome. The Robins will not make it easy and there were plenty of green shoots of recovery evident in their victory over Herne Bay last week. It has taken a while but there is finally something in the W column. sid snott and thetaffman will be counting the days until salons reopen next month but will fight like two bald men over a comb for the honor of not finishing last. Course PreviewThe casters of chicken bones and gazers of tea leaves are struggling to see what will happen in this week's matches. This is very apt as Scarlet Dunes offers more blind shots that Stevie Wonder tending bar in a nightclub. Apart from a couple of par threes I rarely was able to sight the target and wouldn't be surprised if there were a couple of blind putts. Round One sees the tees pushed way, way back and it will take everything in the bag plus a £3 Uber to get home. It will get more friendly as the week progresses but not a bad challenge for Finals Week.
