Showing off would be me stating that my R1 could / should have been 8-9 shots better - I had that number of 1/2 inch tap ins when it had to be easier for the ball to drop.....
8 eagles during the event helps a lot.....

Round 2 - Just garbage
Brazilian - Brazilian bogey - Brazilian bogey and so forth. Actually got my total to -9 on the final tee before hoiking into the water. In the name of everything that's holy let these demo marks stand. I've had about 12 of the buggers in the last couple of months and they keep getting wiped out with issues getting the scores transferred. I should really be in CC-E and getting more shots.
72 (E)

Burton Albion - Ajax (Hans - Frans) LEFTY79Ajax got off to a slow start in the first half and missed a lot of chances (-10/62). The wind started to blow and Ajax loves playing in the wind!!! A few shots nearly missed but just before half-time it was just a matter of time before one was going to go in... (-12/60).

Zinnbauer did EVERYTHING at halftime, including bringing in a witch doctor and threatening the team with loss of bollocks for muti.
It worked as the Bucs were nearly error free in the second half (1 Humph each in rounds 3 & 4; Scores -6 and -8).
Will it be enough to ward off the evil spirits of the Puddlians? Grab some popcorn and watch!
Onward!

1st Round -7
After their Covid Champions League elimination Celtic had to dust themselves off and face the reality that the Lockdown Cup is more their level. Although dining at the big table is glamorous getting their cheeks parted every week isn't so appealing, so the team look forward to getting their teeth into the challenge ahead.
They got off to a good start with Elynoussi and Edouard causing problems for Rovers in the 18 yard box. It was more a narrower attacking set up with a lot of play going through Rogic and Christie. Tranmere gave Celtic a scare on the 12th with some good play and it took Celtic 3 attempts to scramble the ball clear. Celtic found their rhythm again in the 19th minute as Edouard had another great attempt at goal before trying his luck twice again a couple of minutes later.

You can here lots of effing and jeffing coming from the Spurs dug out after the first 22 mins in this game and in true Spurs style it was one pass forward and two passes back for a lack lustre performance so far and they have got it all to do in this game!

The Sky Blues came out after HT with only 6 players. Shambles. Frantic search revealed the rest in The Saxon Shore tucking into a cheap Burger and pint for their half time snack. No Premiership prima donna's in this team, perfectly happy with a Spoons!! Suffice to say Herne Bay's paper boys, hairdressers, mechanics and postmen were happily taking on the Sky Blue Six and prospered. With the players finally dragged back from the pub the City began to settle down and finished strongly in the final 20 minutes. PUSB

For the first 15 minutes, it looked as if the moment might overwhelm the lower-tier Italian squad that found itself in the hunt for the championship. Facing off against one of the most successful professional clubs in the history of the sport, Cassino Calcio looked hesitant to commit to any attack, struggling to get the ball beyond the middle third.
Then someone flipped the switch to the ON position, and it was a return to form for the Azzurri, pressing the attack from all corners of the field and peppering the Manchester goal with strike after strike.
((R1: 67 - 1-under standing on the 17th tee, went eagle-eagle into the clubhouse)) ((R2: 64))

Ajax started the second half furiously; the number of chances they created was incredible... the number they just missed even more so... ๐ (-13/59).
Curious to see how Han.... Burton Allbion will respond!!!

Dreadful last 20 minutes by Ajax... instead of trying to control the game, they continued attacking like madmen... which promptly resulted in the ball ending in a lake outside the stadium after an idiotic long attempt by Klaassen and a red card for Tadic after trying to score by hitting Burtonโs goalkeeper in the face in an attempt to hold the ball. They might have ruined their chances but weโll have to wait and see whether Burton Albion takes advantage...

2nd Round -4
Celtic continued their impressive display as they turned the screw on Tranmere defence with 5 shots on target in the first 5 minutes. But a comedy of errors involving Taylor, Ajer and Julien in the 7th minute presented Rovers with a chance to get a foothold in the game. Their front line were unperturbed as Griffiths made a nuisance of himself to keep the pressure on. Then on the 10th minute that man again cracked a free kick off the woodwork before Tranmere scrambled the loose ball clear. It looked as if their earlier efforts took their toll as the team laboured to create any chances, before a bit of goalmouth action at either end seen the first half draw to a close.

Rd 1 +5
Herne Bay didn't offer much resistance against the Coventry strikers apart from a crack at the Coventry goal in the 21st minute. Coventry lead one - nil
