Never understood the complaining....on either side. It's a video game. Play how you want to play. Got the get off my lawn perfect guys and the red fast millennials arguing now. Kind of funny to watch. Seems the developer finally understood it. The game is better for being able to be played with the difficulty as intended, surely? It’s not about making people play a certain way, it’s about having equal difficulty. No matter how the game is set up, it's the same for everyone. The difficulty is always the same...its just how you choose to play it. I just never cared how anyone played. Ill sit up with my feet on the davenport listening to NPR while i go for perfects. But if you wanna take bong rips and go for red fasts, you do you.

I used to play wired exclusively (for a number of years), but been wireless for ages now - even though I found it harder to hit a specific tempo repeatedly. The ability to hit different points on the tempo clock felt much better to me. Feedback on what I actually did is much better and calibration is less of a fudge imo. Began wireless on DShock/ PS4 and kept going on DSense/PS5. Oddly, I experimented with wired again on PS5 recently and had a lot of success, but still seemed to be able to hit a lot of points vs how PS4 felt. Maybe placebo - dunno. Maybe PS5 wired is different. I’m sure someone can be bothered to run through calibration granularity wired vs wireless (PS4) for those that don’t know - but apologies, it won’t be me. I think I remember seeing hippystein talk about PS5 having a lot more swing points vs PS4. The main reason I switched to wired was due to a short backswing glitch where my guy would pull the club back partially and then reset. It was extremely annoying cause I’d be shooting fully every time lol. Then I would be anticipating it happening again and it would totally throw me off. I didn’t get it at all when I played earlier, so maybe they fixed it.

Of course it’s the same for everyone regardless, but it’s surely better to encourage people to play for the difficult to execute, but most beneficial outcome shot. It’s skill based... it was designed to be played with perfect as the intent - surely you agree on that? Anyway, thank the Lord, they’ve put it right.

I'm just saying whatever gave the user the most enjoyment is the way that user should play. Why care what you or I think? I qualified all the way back at the beginning of 2k21 on all perfects for Kinetic....8 months later I'm still in Kinetic. You're good or not good at the game no matter what way you play. It will be different for a month then the we will see the exact same people at the top of every society. I just thought the constant b and moaning was over the top. And now I think it's over the top in the other direction. Anyway.... happy playing friend. Either way, it's the best video I've ever played and don't see myself ever stopping.

The RF glitch masked many players lack of talent in the game’s core area. What’s the phrase, lipstick on a pig? Bright red lipstick. The designers (clearly now) intended to present consistency in tempo as a main challenge to a complete round. Combining the ability to fully loft, equip yourself with beneficially less forgiving/longer clubs and 99% guaranteed desired tempo, the RFers were playing a different game. A very different game. This update is loud and clear. This league has been ultra competitive and not a “let’s have a bonfire” koombaya fest. If you thought this b and moaning was bad, you should check out the archives. Time to see who can actually play.

Im not even arguing they shouldn't have fixed it...All I'm saying is I'm baffled by how many people care how someone other than themselves scores in this game. Playing perfects in Kinetic I never once gave a 2nd thought to how people finishing above me played...red fast or no.

Your attitude is certainly commendable, and certainly there’s nothing of value on the line. But this place is a much needed competitive escape from the daily grind. With the RF, the competition was kneecapped. How could you compare yourself against other golfers, by height?

It's taken too long but we now know they listened. I've read a few comments from Xbox players saying the red fast was the only way to be competitive on that console, which I had a lot of sympathy with prior to the 60fps update, but not now. It may still be more difficult on Xbox, I really don't know, but I do know that mistakes with tempo, for me anyway, are of my own doing. Prior to the 60fps update was a very different story! I'm also hearing that Xbox series X also makes a difference, again I don't know if that's true as I still haven't managed to get one. It will be interesting to see the leaderboards for the next few weeks, especially if red slows are nerfed too, which they surely must be.

The change to 60Hz on the Xbox ones made a difference to me and that difference is still there on my series x, last weeks beer league I hit one red fast out of all four rounds and that was my first swing of the day as usual. I’ve been playing the CC tournaments for practice and hit a few in there but not loads.

Since the update I now only have one point of perfect on my driver (straight up the middle). Both my side points are now gone. Wonderful. Penalize the red fast while at the same time making it easier to hit red fast. I use the sky blue driver (284yds forget the name) never had much of an issue hitting at least in the greys. Now I have perfect up the middle, one point in each grey and reds. Keep fixing stuff the isn't actually broke. If I can't find what's wrong and fix it I'm out. I already play wired. So that's not it.

Are you on PS4? Thats actually the reason you have one point. If you switch your controller to use Bluetooth youll get more points. I have no perfect points on my driver at all when I play wired lol, due to my calibration having nothing in the middle. I’m skeptical of playing wireless myself, but give it a shot at least.

After several rounds, it is clear I have to slow my tempo on drives, almost to a fade to avoid too far to the fast to cut distance. The biggest change for me is the narrow window for the partial pitch shots. If you can't hit perfect/gray, my calculation for carry is way off. That is costing me a lot of strokes right now.

I switched to wired 2 months ago because wireless had less points. I've had 3 perfect points this whole time while wired. Now it's back to one. Very frustrating.
