Season 11, week 0 (the intro)
SOTS Cup of season 10 has come and gone, which can now only mean one thing...
Here we go again! After the landmark achievement of season 10, HTF season 11 is ready to kick off in a matter of hours! We've got the same names you already know and love, new faces looking for their first experiences of HTF, and everything else in between! This means that once again, 60 people in 10 teams of 6 will try their best to tear CC courses apart in order to win themselves the coveted Golden Tee for winning the 9 week extravaganza of this upcoming season! Fear not, for once more the next 2 best teams will also get the Silver and Bronze consolation prizes. And once again, the best player out of 60 that scores most points while well under par wins MVP status and the Sky Blue Tee for their trouble. This season doesn't seem to have the consensus favorite for a winner in the bookie's shop, so who knows which of the 10 teams will come out on top. No matter how the chips will fall and the dice will roll, expectation is that this will once again be a fun, exciting season!
Get ready to start your engines, for the first task of season 11 involves storming the course of Ash Meadows, Blue by Gareth Irvine. The easier version of the 2 Meadows that levels up from Beer League event last season into CC event this time around. A desert-ish challenge that for once matches the CC event name (Stormin' Norman's Desert Challenge), whoa!
Are you ready, or will this week see your golf balls disappear with the desert wind? Good luck this season, let's get it on!

Season 11, week 1
First week of a new season has come and gone! As such, designated first placers after the opening week are... Designated Drivers, who would have guessed? They proved that being designated drivers is better than being a smashed one, in more ways than one, as they beat The Smashed Drivers 17-7. Perfect opening weeks for team members Budel and Mitchell who start their season with the perfect 4.
So the Tee Breakers walk into a bar... no wait... Walk Into a Par, or maybe not as they beat them 16.5-7.5. Or maybe tee is their favorite drink and said par doesn't serve any? Team captain Breunig leads the way with 4 points, and the team in general was shooting well with the best team score of -332 this week to be topping the tie breaker list, should we ever need that!
Expectation are lofty for some, and expectation may be hard to meet. For Lofty Expectations, however, they are being met for now as they beat Blue Bear Nuts 16-8. And as you may or may not be shocked, Löfström is once again a driving force for a team with a nice (-69) 4, and so is Melius with 4.
This team may have changed composition but not the name for this season, and they're still in deep as Balls Deep plant themselves on Plat and the Wet Wigs by a score of 14.5-9.5. No four pointers to be found here, but Cassino of the winning side comes closest with 3.5. On the other side, notably Everard and Bottrell with 3 each for almost 66% of their total points.
And we have a season opener with a tie where everyone wins, yaaay! Or loses, boooo. The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers had theirs broken by getting stomped on by These Boots, in a clash that didn't see a winner for 12-12 split. If you want to split hairs, on a tiebreaker the Boots "win" 309-296. No fours here either but closest is Bryan for Heartbreakers with 3. Very even spread of points for most, sharing is caring I guess?
Top score(s): Löfström / Fulton -69 4 point club: Löfström, Melius, Budel, Mitchell, Breunig
Leaderboard after week 1, even though you might have been able to piece it together already:
1. Designated Drivers, 17 points / -318 under par 2. Tee Breakers, 16.5 / -332 3. Lofty Expectations, 16 / -310 4. Balls Deep, 14.5 / -329 5. These Boots, 12 / -309 6. The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers, 12 / -296 7. Plat and the Wet Wigs, 9.5 / -297 8. Blue Bear Nuts, 8 / -265 9. Walk Into a Par, 7.5 / -312 10. The Smashed Drivers, 7 / -294
Righto, week 2 of season 11 sees us go into an older place again, this time it's Akashi Shore by Ben Page. The CC grand finale of 2K21's Master season, back again by popular demand? I don't know about that, but it's a B101 course. Usually those put you through pain, but this one is tamer... mostly, at least. Pretty similar looking conditions for most part according to weather report, so don't have to get used to any crazy changes between rounds this week.
My thanks as well for reporting in a timely manner this week, love to see it! It's nice to wake up to write this on a Sunday morning, can I kindly but non-mandatorily request more of this please? Cheers, and good luck!

Season 11, week 2
These Boots walk into a par. "Wow, nice boots!" someone yells as they swipe the drinks to the floor on the way to hammering down Walk Into a Par by a score of 16-8. Drinks are owed to one Mr. Simon who scores 4 points and thus has the finest boots this week, maybe they'll chip in for a drink for Mr. Hernandez too who got 3.5.
Lofty Expectations sure are a thing for some, and the team of that said name is flying high for now, as Plat and the Wet Wigs have their expectations messed with this week by losing out 15.5-8.5. "Sure is nice to look down on everyone from such lofty heights" says one Mr. Melius who scores 4 again, starting off his season with a perfect 8 for 8.
This week's burning question: "Is breaking things more fun than smashing things?", and the answer based on this next match has been found. Tee Breakers are better than The Smashed Drivers by 14-10. No standouts for the winners with 3 people scoring 3 points, meanwhile on the other side Ruhl is the standout of the match by scoring 4. Interesting how it went that way for once!
Well if smashing things doesn't work, does designating them work better? This week, yes! Designated Drivers looked at their smashed counterparts and said "hold our beers!" as they rock The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers to the sweet tune of 13.5-10.5. Fulton leads the way with 4 points, singing the lullaby to get these jersey rockers to sleep.
And in this week's tight match of "where's the difference?", balls are better than nuts as Balls Deep edges out Blue Bear Nuts, blue balling them by a score of 13-11. Top score of the week is here with Townsend leading the way for -63... on the losing side. With such wild mood swings in this match in particular, who knows what could have swung things around here and there?
Top score(s): Townsend -63 4 point club: Melius, Fulton, Ruhl, Simon
This week's leaderboard looks something like this (changes up or down to last week in brackets right after the position, NC indicates no change):
1. (+2) Lofty Expectations 31.5 points / -566 total under par 2. (NC) Tee Breakers 30.5 / -590 3. (-2) Designated Drivers 30.5 / -577 4. (+1) These Boots 28 / -570 5. (-1) Balls Deep 27.5 / -593 6. (NC) The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers 22.5 / -543 7. (+1) Blue Bear Nuts 19 / -508 8. (-1) Plat and the Wet Wigs 18 / -537 9. (+1) The Smashed Drivers 17 / -522 10. (-1) Walk Into a Par 15.5 / -551
Sky Blue Trophy (MVP) leader after week 2: Melius 8/8 points
Week 3! This week in CC we head to Recreation... I mean Rec Yard by Nicholas Freter. Yeah, last season in Elite this was known by its full name, this season in CC it was shortened. Why? Who knows! Could get a bit tricky, so don't "rec" yourself before you check yourself... okay, I'm done here, let me get my coat.
Cheers, good luck!
(copied from Discord and posted here again thanks to having been deleted by the backup process, good to have this place back though!)

Season 11, week 3
This week on HTF, you don't walk into a par, the par walks into you! Makes no sense I know, but Walk Into a Par finally gets over the bar counter to take a win over The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers by a score of 18.5-5.5. Pretty good team effort, just one 4 pointer recorded by one Mr. Miotla who will likely get his par visit paid off by teammates this week.
Next up, some more breaking involved as one of the top units so far this season the Tee Breakers shows their might over Plat and the Wet Wigs 17-7. Not a massively wide gap on shots under par category, but points matter. Just ask Ramberg and Kenny who both score 4 for the winners.
In match 3D this week, Designed Drivers with just 2 Ds to their name managed to knock off Balls Deep by smacking them 16.5-7.5. Even closer on under par match with 12 between them, and points spread evenly between the usuals on the teams. The one standout is the one coming off the bench to sub for the week as Santos maxes out that effort by getting 4.
The Smashed Drivers have caught road rage! Unfortunately, there's a victim of Blue Bear Nuts who got ran over 14-10. Not really ran over actually, 11 shots between the team and could have thus swung the match in many different ways, much like the couple matches above. Zartman with 4 for the winners might be thankful for this to end up this way.
And the final stop on the week is reporting a tie. Lofty Expectations and These Boots play out to a 12-12 draw so neither really wins or loses, unless you want to play a tiebreaker which then goes to Lofty Expectations by 261-252 under par. Notably, Melius on the LE side continues his run of a perfect match record by taking 4 again this week.
Top score(s): Bordeaux -68 4 point club: Ramberg, Kenny, Zartman, Melius, Santos, Miotla
Leaderboard after week 3, a third of the way through the season:
1. (+1) Tee Breakers 47.5 points / -846 total under par 2. (+1) Designated Drivers 47 / -825 3. (-2) Lofty Expectations 43.5 / -827 4. (NC) These Boots 40 / -822 5. (NC) Balls Deep 35 / -829 6. (+4) Walk Into a Par 34 / -815 7. (+2) The Smashed Drivers 31 / -777 8. (-1) Blue Bear Nuts 29 / -752 9. (-3) The Jersey Rockin' Heartbreakers 28 / -750 10. (-2) Plat and the Wet Wigs 25 / -776
Sky Blue Trophy (MVP) leader after week 3: Melius 12/12 points
Week 4, first in the second third of the season and the one before the midway point. This week, I personally have no early idea on the difficulty of the course but don't think it's anything super tough. But then again, do you really rely on my early analysis to figure out the toughness of a course? I know that it's called Brederson Country Club by Brian Ross. Go forth and explore at your own leisure!
Cheers, good luck!
