Season 10, week 3
We start this week's recap off by paying respects to a team that got the worst of the HTF pre-Christmas party. A Loft Strife and his Goat was the leader heading into this week and they increase it by smashing Consumable Tee Friends 21.5-2.5 in the biggest beatdown of the season, and one of the worst in recent memory. The whole team got at least 3 points, so... one team got their Christmas gifts early?
Everything else was much closer this week as the next match is Balls Deep beating Stoned & Tripping Nuts 13.5-10.5 with the turnaround in round 4 going 5-1 to steal it. Standouts for BD were Ramberg (as per usual?) with 4 and Wilkinson with 3.5 points.
Speaking of turnarounds, Man Down... Run! had one too, using a round 4 sweep to pass on the three wise men's gifts of Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh this Christmas by a score of 13-11. Two shots were the difference to the winners, and they had a very balanced scoring week with 2.5 times 4. Hynönen on the other side was the leading point scorer with 3.
Another 13-11 win in match E, as The Fine Golfplayers show fine skills on the course at least by making The Stars of the Xmas Tree wait on their loss a little bit to crush their Christmas spirit a little more. They were outscored by 4 shots, yet points matter as Adams and Lasko lead the way with 3.
First tie of the season is real, joy to the world! The Wild Turkeys and Designated Drivers can't seem to come to a conclusion on who is driving them out of the Christmas party. Lots of 3 point scoring here with Santos being the lone one on the Turkeys side, meanwhile 3 pointers for new guy Breunig, Mitchell and Talley for a very good bottom pool showing.
Top score(s): Löfström / Sloan -68 4 point club: Ramberg, Gaudreault, Martin
Leaderboard check is a mere two weeks away. So far looks competitive but some gaps are already forming...
This week's CC antics are on White-Tailed National by Michael Ranalli. A newer course after a couple of throwbacks, part of the National Treasure (of the US states) competition last season. Interestingly this was a late Elite event last season and now it finds itself in CC. Could see a little tougher time this week, but we can only wait and see.
Could be that the next edition of the weekly recaps is also delayed since... well, Christmas and all. My one Christmas wish for Santa this year is for Kevin to have a stress free Christmas and not having to wait for scores on Christmas Day (that's on Sunday), so can we here at the Press Release Intelligence Network Team (of one person) kindly request that since we won't ask for anything else?
Cheers, and good luck this week! Happy holidays!

Dunno why TGC Tours thought the setup of R2 would be a good idea - borderline unplayable on my end with next to no visibility. Caused a very ugly blemish this week.

Season 10, week 4
Been feeling sick (merry Christmas to me!) and have very little energy currently so this will be a quick, abridged recap this week. Apologies, hoping to return to form next week.
A Loft Strife and his Goat annihilate another team, this time it's The Wild Turkeys by a score of 19.5-4.5.
Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh beat The Stars of the Xmas Tree in a timely, festive matchup 16-8.
Balls Deep go deep on the Designated Drivers 16-8.
The Fine Golfplayers handle Consumable Tee Friends 15.5-8.5.
Man Down... Run! take a draw against Stoned & Tripping Nuts.
Top score(s): Löfström -64 4 point club: Murray, Sloan, Loft
Leaderboards will be looked at next week.
This week's CC adventure takes us to Switzerland, it's Lauterbrunnen by Jason Fowler. Previous host of the former Beer League event and Kinetic, CC now gets a piece of this course and so will this group.
Cheers, hopefully everyone had a good Christmas (or anything else you might have celebrated), and let's bring this year to an end by going low, hmm?

Season 10, week 5
We kick off the final week of 2022 with a welcome change: the beat up Stars of the Xmas Tree finally pick up a win! The victims of this are Designated Drivers, defeated 17.5-6.5. Mostly able to do this thanks to a nice team effort overall, but the stand out here is the pool 1 player Gilmore, picking 4 with -62 and being miles ahead in score out of anyone in the match this week.
In the top match this week (in leaderboard positions at least), Balls Deep cut up Man Down... Run! 16-8. A sneaky close match this one up until the wire of round 4, where BD smacks it up 5-1. Overall good team effort with all scores being between 2 and 3.5 points.
In what was almost the miracle of the season, Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh push the seemingly unstoppable A Loft Strife and his Goat to the limit but finally end up short 13-11. A cracking matchup this one, with sweeps exchanged on 2 out of the 4 rounds! Who knows where the final dagger comes in but with all the splitting in round 4, that might be it.
In yet another close one, The Fine Golfplayers play with fine margins while taking out The Wild Turkeys 13-11. The score margin wasn't that close as it went 257-229, but like usual the points are the only thing that truly matter. Some 3 pointers here, but pretty steady point scoring across the board.
And now a week with no ties, as Consumable Tee Friends narrowly edge out Stoned & Tripping Nuts by a score of 12.5-11.5. The Secretariat can rest easy knowing he was the leader of his team (and not having to stress all the way into Sunday!) with 3, meanwhile Horan and Aerts on the opposing ends of pools have 3.5 and 3, combining for over half the points.
Top score(s): Gilmore -62 4 point club: Gilmore (lonely in here this week, huh?)
Here's who's currently hot and who's currently not through week 5 out of 9:
1. A Loft Strife and His Goat (86 points / -1487)
2. Balls Deep (73 points / -1378)
3. Man Down... Run! (64 points / -1356)
4. Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh (63 points / -1348)
5. The Fine Golfplayers (63 points / -1299)
6. Stoned & Tripping Nuts (54 points / -1268)
7. The Stars of the Xmas Tree (51.5 points / -1296)
8. Designated Drivers (51 points / -1211)
9. Consumable Tee Friends (49 points / -1239)
10. The Wild Turkeys (45.5 points / -1145)
Leader for the Sky Blue Tee through week 5: Sloan 17.5 points
This week in CC we go to the links at Portwithick by Richard Hall. Because it's a links course, expect lots of firmness and therefore lots of bounces to places you might not want to see your ball in. But knowing the monsters here, that won't even be a problem for them. *insert smiley face of your choice here*
New year, same old quality standard of HTF play? My prediction is yes, but ask again later anyway. Good luck everyone, happy New Year!

Season 10, week 6
We start off with a couple of beatdowns this week. First, The Stars of the Xmas Tree are going for the ultimate comeback by recording another big win: 20-4 over Consumable Tee Friends. This team was 10th just 2 weeks ago but coming back to fight for some tees. 4 points for half the team, which were Gilmore, Beaudry and Branca.
In a not so surprising note, the unstoppable force that is A Loft Strife and his Goat claims another victim in Man Down... Run! by a score of 19-5. A whopping 70 shot difference in total score made sure this was not even close as 4 points go to Sloan and Gaudreault. Will anything stop this team with 3 weeks to go?
Balls Deep continue the chase of the top spot, beating The Fine Golfplayers 15-9. Big week for them to keep up any chance for 1st place and so it was for Ramberg with 4 points and Pinn with 3.5. Wood on the other side with a 3 point performance to give them some needed points, too.
Designated Drivers do not exactly run over but gently plow down Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh 14.5-9.5. Much needed win to keep up any hopes, meanwhile a slight blow for the other but not too bad. Very even point share for the winners as Zartman leads with 3 but lowest score of points was 2. Melius scores the big share for GIM with 3.
And finally, The Wild Turkeys narrowly squeak by Stoned & Trippin Nuts 12.5-11.5. They lose out on total score 217-212 but points were on their side. Bryan and Wilcox get the lead of the job with 3 points.
Top score(s): Löfström / Sloan -62 4 point club: Ramberg, Gilmore, Beaudry, Branca, Sloan, Gaudreault
Leaderboard, week 6/9. No team has been eliminated from contention just yet, but the time draws near for some. In brackets after position is the change from last week.
1. (-) A Loft Strife and his Goat (105 pts / -1771) 2. (-) Balls Deep (88 pts / -1630) 3. (+1) Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh (72.5 pts / -1547) 4. (+1) The Fine Golfplayers (72 pts / -1528) 5. (+2) The Stars of the Xmas Tree (71.5 pts / -1533) 6. (-3) Man Down... Run! (69 pts / -1570) 7. (-1) Stoned & Trippin Nuts (65.5 pts / -1485) 8. (-) Designated Drivers (65.5 pts / -1424) 9. (+1) The Wild Turkeys (58 pts / -1357) 10. (-1) Consumable Tee Friends (53 pts / -1424)
Sky Blue Tee leader after week 6: Sloan 21.5 pts
CC this week is remarkable in one way: a real course peeks in! We are headed to Chicago for... well, Chicago Golf Club recreated by Pico Heelis. If real courses on your tour schedule is not your thing and think those should instead be kept in True Sim, this might not be your week. However, this might be a chill week after what was last week's destruction derby. Remains to be seen but first signs show some easier times ahead.
Cheers and best of luck!
