Good time of day ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children and adults of all ages!
I'm Tomi, your reporter from the virtual courses once again this season, bringing you this introduction. Expect weekly recaps from me as usual, quick previews of the week to come and way too many words, for one might start thinking I'm writing terrible virtual golf fan fiction. Now here's a question...
Do you feel and hear it in the air? The anguish, the madness, the cries of CC society message boards across all the platforms? That's right, Happy Tee Friends is back again, and so are 60 players from the pro tours (or CC-A) who are once again teamed up into groups of 6. From pool 1 to pool 6, these players are (hopefully) ready to tear CC a new one on a weekly basis (and become the scourge that many might mistakenly call "cheaters"), as they take each other on in friendly yet grueling competition to determine which team shall reign supreme, and therefore take the coveted golden tees. Second and third placers are also going to walk away with some prizes in silver and bronze, and one player shall be the best of them all and thus get rewarded with their individual sky blue tee as usual. With old familiar faces, and new interesting players joining the mix, we're entering a new fascinating and entertaining season which will be most intriguing to see where it all leads down to. Tough teams, tough players. Who will prevail?
Week 1, starting in a matter of hours, brings us to Al Barsha - Sands, created by Pat Louvar. One of three Al Barsha Resort courses alongside Palms and Seas, feel free to check those out too. If you're feeling a bit groggy to start off a new season of HTF in this new game, we're hitting the tropics to ease us in. The CC event is called the Beirut Shootout, so... is it going to be that way? Time will tell.
Good luck out there, should be another fun season!

Season 10, week 1
Thanks to tiebreaker rules, Man Down... Run! takes top honors as week 1 leader on total score under par, showing why Christmas trees only have one star by shredding down The Stars of the Xmas Tree 16-8. Overall team effort starting from down low, with Engels starting off with a 4 and Pihlman with 3.5 leading the way as the 6 and 5 pool players. On the other side, Gilmore with a 3 on an unbeaten effort and easily the highest total score in the match with -56.
2nd place after this week is the... Balls Deep team who consumed the Consumable Tee Friends 16-8. Shots under par being 231-219 would suggest this to be a closer match, but points are the thing that matters. 1 and 2 players Ramberg and Bear with 4 and 3.5 and the lower seeds chipping in, this looks like a tough team to beat. Doak with 3.5 using the consumables for his team this week.
15-9 is the score in this next one, as A Loft Strife and His Goat take the Designated Drivers for a drive across the golf course, I think the second named team had one too many this time. Sloan with 4, and Loft with 3.5. Shot count shows that this wasn't close, finishing at 249-202.
Two narrow wins to complement the larger wins, as Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh are gearing up for Christmas spirit by getting involved with The Wild Turkeys, outlasting the remnants of Thanksgiving 12.5-11.5 in a very close match. Threes from deep, as Hynönen, Murray and Simon do the triple for G.I.M., and Santos responds in kind with a 3 for the Turkeys.
In this week's edition of "where is the difference?", The Fine Golfplayers, ahem... stonewall Stoned & Trippin Nuts 12.5-11.5 in a match where the shots were 215-214. The mysterious J. Moore with 4 and Adams with 3 in the Players club, Aerts gets 3 points with -16 in a masterclass of efficient scoring.
Top scorer(s) this week: Ramberg & Sloan -59 4 point club: Sloan, Engels, Ramberg, J. Moore
Thorough leaderboard updates will start halfway through the season as things start to shape up a bit more clearly. They will be in this spot here. Week 2 is at Orion Ranch by Matthew Fritsch (in collaboration with Thomas Petrocelli). A relaxing course from the older days of 2K21. This was also a CC event before that one big storm that changed everything came through. I would know, I was there. You have already seen some of the scores, softball conditions on the table this week which might give some nerves to perform. If you're chasing big scores, good luck out there.
Cheers, and thanks for reading if you have gone through it all! The Press Release Intelligence Network Team signs off for the week.

Season 10, week 2
Biggest win of the week was pulled off by the team of Consumable Tee Friends, as they had a jolly good time consuming some left over wild turkey, courtesy of The Wild Turkeys. 17.5-6.5 was the final score, biggest one so far this season. While the Turkeys can at least say they scored very evenly in points with 1.5 times 4, Baldwin, Everard and Fulton lead the way for the CTF with 4, 3.5 and 3 respectively.
Another big winner this week was one that shot a team to the top of the overall standings, as A Loft Strife and his Goat take a big win over The Stars of the Xmas Tree by a score of 17-7. The Grinch has come to visit early for the Stars as this is another big loss for them, meanwhile the big Grinch for them was Gaudreault with a full 4 and a half of the team with 3.
We then have a call for the Designated Drivers, as they need to drive the Stoned & Tripping Nuts back home from a 15.5-8.5 beat down. Fairly decent overall performance for the Drivers, as they scored anywhere between 3.5 and 2 points, Jones being the leading driving force with the only 3.5 there.
Another casualty needing a medic this week as Man Down...Run! put up a finer showcase than The Fine Golfplayers, finishing them with a 15-9 score. After going 6 for 6 in round 1 it looked like a finer beat down was out there, but the Players did come back to score some good points. Zuchero was the biggest hitter with 3.5 points in a good team effort.
The team I called for one that would be tough to beat last week was beaten the very next week, as Balls Deep lose to Golden Tee, Incense and Myrrh 12.5-11.5. Blame or thank the writer jinx if you must depending on the wanted outcome and I will thus not hype any team up from here on out. Close affair everywhere in terms of points scored and total score, no idea what caused the final difference. Maybe Simon scoring 3 for G.I.M. for most points here?
Top score(s): Fulton & Ramberg, -65 4 point club: Baldwin, Gaudreault
Leaderboard update in a few weeks, here in this spot. Good shooting so far!
Week 3 takes us to an even further throwback of 2K21 than last week: it's Cades Cove, TN by Terry Grayson. Another previous CC event of the bygone era, and the designer has very aptly put the difficulty of the course in the description of the course, and I quote: "probably suited for cc... enjoy". Truly poetic. Looks like more low scores out there, so once again... if you chase one of those as a player, or have to as an opponent, good luck.
Quick side note: thank you for reporting scores in a timely fashion so these can be put out in a similar time frame every week, keep this up if you possibly can. The Press Intelligence Network Team thanks you for the cooperation. With that, thank you for reading once again as we sign off on another week. Cheers!
