I just made some final tweaks to NLE_TEST_12 and published as "LIDO". Recommend playing with medium speed greens and high winds to get the feel for how the original course would have played. The back tees were made just for game play. Middle tees are the original back tees in 1915. Front tees are for sim play. After it was built, many considered it to the hardest course in the world and the best. Gene Sarazen fired an 85 on it to give you a feel for the difficulty back then. The only other American courses in the discussion were Pine Valley, National Golf Links of America, and Merion. This video explains the history of the course very well: Jim Urbina does most of the talking www.golfchannel.com/video/2019-pga-championship-lido-golf-club-lost-golf-treasureEnjoy! Slightly different angle. This is the 8th hole (Biarritz).

Goodness gracious that blew my mind on literally every hole. Truly amazing work hickoryghost . Amazing Macdonald / Raynor design and amazing creation by you. The green complexes were unbelievable. Among others, 12 and 15 stood out, though I'm sure I'll latch onto other specific holes the second time I go around. So many good ones. The Redan was super-cool. I'm working on a Coastal Carolina course with some healthy Raynor influence, but am suddenly feeling quite insecure about it compared to this one! Seriously, this is great both to play for fun and for inspiration. It has a great wildness factor that seems different from their other courses, too. Thanks for doing it - awesome...

I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time. Played the betas, followed along, even spotted one of the early betas on golf channel last year in a story about the course that you linked. Been fun following along.
Excited to see you’ve published!

Excited to see you’ve published! I was wondering if this was the course used as the "Artist Rendering" in the Golf Channel video you both linked. How cool...

Absolutely superb. It was certainly a pleasure to play and it's a great addition to the MacRaynor tracks that have been created by the community. I'm sure than many of us have tried wishing this course back to life. This is as good as it will get. Thank you for all the work put into the project.
Not that it's a big deal... I did notice some crowd noise on 7 or 8. I realized when playtesting Chicago Golf Club that any concession stands or tournament objects will create "ghost" applause, even if you don't place any people on the plot. I tried my best to keep it quiet and serene and couldn't figure it out for a while.

Can’t stop gushing over how fantastic this course is! The routing is pure genius! Such a shame the real thing is gone but so appreciative for hickoryghost bringing it back to life at least in some regard. If you haven’t played this yet, drop everything and go play it now. You will not be disappointed!

Feels like you're a part of history knocking it around this unbelievable track. Very well done! So great, well worth the wait, and will be playing it again soon. Thanks hickoryghost and wonderful job!

I tried my best to keep it quiet and serene and couldn't figure it out for a while. That is really strange. I once put a few people on the tennis courts (right of 7) to take a screenshot, but thought that I erased them. I never use crowds for anything typically.
