Art VandelaySkyBlueBenSo here's my OFTR for the week. And this is sadly going to be the end for me in Brew Crew. The only reason is that I want to try play my CC rounds on thursdays night, thus breaking the rule of playing 2 rounds before wednesdays. Available to sub for a posh boys if you need one! Thanks all, I will still keep an eye on what's going on here! You are playing the last 2 weeks of the current season I hope/presume Eric. Yeah for sure! I was talking about next season only

inflames47 Carol - enjoyed the Desiger this time around (not that I didn't before, just have not played much). What I also enjoyed was my -9 in R1 and the end of my R2. Hopefully my improvement after fixing the stutter on my PC sticks around for next week's rounds!

SkyBlueBen Art Vandelay BladeI am still in a healing process that takes precedent over golfing atm, so with your permissions I will have Scott continue to cover me for next 2 weeks. My focus has to be on getting myself in a position where I can get up and downstairs which is quite painful and impossible at this time, so I am trying to focus on exercise to strengthen my right leg. At this time I barely can lift 4 inches off ground , to get in and out of a bed a chair etc is a task. I truly appreciate his help for me this season. Inflames

Itâs been Cheltenham festival this week, which has seen me lose more money than I would have liked but one thing I think we can all agree on, is that the Rum Raiders are looking more like Red Rum in what's becoming a one horse race as we get to the later stages. This week we were at TPC Scottsdale. Just in case anyone wants to see more of it, have another picture for a nice reminder of yet another around at Scottsdale. Coming off the back of their stellar win last week, Bandits are back in action, this time taking on the Hustlers who were also looking to continue with the form they have recently found. A point a piece in the first day ensured a nervy start to the second. It was the Bandits however who came out strong. Impressive pair play by Chris and Captain Mark, blowing any resistance from Pen and Paul for a very comfortable win. With confidence in the air, followed Bova and Michael who again were just too superior for Leon and Paul for another comfortable win to bridge a nice lead at the halfway point. Hustlers could have buckled but an all star team performance on day 3 put the match back to all square going into the final day. With nothing between Pen and Chris, it was the Hustlers who took snuck ahead with a Leon taking a close 1 up win over Bova. With the win slipping away up stepped Mark and Michael for the Bandits. With two convincing wins they were just able to snatch the win away from the Hustlers. Great performance by all. Raiders were looking to strike back after the loss they acquired last week. Back with a vengeance they came and sadly it was Timâs Royals that were going to have to take the punishment this week. Royals were only able to manage 2 draws throughout the three days of doubles with Peter being involved in both those ties. Singles brought closer results as the scorecards were revealed but it was again the Raiders who had the swing of the ties. Felt sorry for the Royals this week with the Raiders coming for revenge but nothing can be taken away from another stellar performance. Pabst and As You Brew up next with two high hitting captains going head to head. Even with the Pabst entourage this week, it just wasn't enough to get them over the line. Neither team allowed their opponents to get ahead and was literally a blow for blow contest this week. With nothing between them this tie ended all square in a fair draw. Great start from the Bombers this week, two close matches but Sean and Ernie just did enough to beat Martin and Thomas while Randy and Jason followed suit when taking on Mark and Art. Makers started a come back with Martin and Mark just getting over the line by a shot against Sean and Randy. Reversal was seen though with Ernie and Jason winning by a shot against Thomas and Art. As the mid week celebrations flowed, Bombers had a commanding lead 6-2. The Makers tried this best to get back into this tie but the damage had already been done. Martin and Thomas won their singles for the Makers but with the tie pretty much already decided, the final nail was struck by Randy and Jason for the Bombers. Stunts and the Hobgoblins to finish the week. Carol could still be seen in the wings orchestrating her team and yet again the troops came up trumps for their Captain. Stunts had an early win from Jason and Ken in a nail biting opener with Konsta and David but from then on in, Hobgoblins took control with win after win to cruise to an easy victory. The Brew Crew Masters 2nd to 8th April 2023
The Cyder Cup 9th to 15th April 2023 (Usual mayhem but with new Captains and Teams).
Season 3 starts 16th April 2023 (commitment of 8 to 10 weeks)It's an early roll call mainly to gauge numbers for Season 3 but also to see who wishes to take part in the Cyder Cup which takes a fair bit of organising. Season 2 has been marred by drop out's mainly in the first few weeks. This causes a massive headache for Admin having to draft in new players, apply handicap's and generally causing unnecessary hassle. We are geared up to cover real life events, as we have had to do this season, but it's not fair on us just because a player is bored with the game or not playing well. So I would ask you all to consider whether you are prepared and are able to commit to the FULL SEASON. We are more than happy to drop to 32 players for Season 3 so don't feel like you have to return. If the game is no longer for you, and let's face it it's been a nightmare for some lately, please say, or maybe keep a place on the bench warm if that is your preference. If you are happy to commit to the full season we'd LOVE to have you back. Dave Bova Kian and Jason H jhandz92 have already let us know they will not be returning for Season 3. Welcome back anytime lads. Our group is centred around this thread and all current league players have been tagged so you need to respond to this message. I do not have time to chase people so if I get no response I will presume you are not returning. All I need at this stage is:- Cyder Cup IN or OUTSeason 3 IN or OUT Cricket Season starts for me mid April so I will have less free time on my hands. Count me out for the season, but I will participate in Cup events if required.

The Long Island Thingy prowse00So, I just did the Real Ale as a warm up and scored -14 and was hitting the ball well. Things turned dramatically for the Cup Final. The Isle of Skye was not kind to me, my wifes name is also Skye, read into that what you will....

Hello Brewers,
Welcome to another super duper week of pixel golf in the Brew Crew.
Week 8 of the Pub Crawl Season takes us to Chattanooga Muni, a real Rustic theme course with a par of 70 which was created by Craig LeVasseur.
Course Description:
This is a digital restoration of Brainerd GC in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The course was designed in 1926 by Donald Ross but has been diminished over time by multiple renovations. The course was originally known as Chattanooga Muni, and thanks to a full set of Donald Ross plans for the course available from the Tufts Archive, I was able to recreate a Lidar version of today's Brainerd GC, trace Ross' original plans over the top of the existing course, and then update each hole back to the original vision of Donald Ross. What results are wide fairways defended on the edges by drainage ditches, and original greens that are inviting at the front, but sinister if you end up above the hole or in the wrong section.

Week 8 â One for the Road
Week 8 of the season is the Modified Stableford format which takes us to Russell Springs GC Tour, a fictional Rustic theme course with a par of 72 which was created by Bill Board.
Course Description:
Welcome Friends, this 7415-yard Par 72 course has 4 pin locations and 3 Tee boxes to choose from, making it a joy and challenge for any skill level golfer. Make sure to pay attention to the options you have off the Tee. Some may require thought while others you can Grip and Rip. Enjoy!
Golf quote of the week:
âYou donât have the game you played last year or last week. You only have todayâs game. It may be far from your best, but thatâs all youâve got. Harden your heart and make the best of it.â -Walter Hagen
Good luck to all teams.
