Pub Patrol - Week 8



Started off this week with a flaming hot putter

holing 6 straight birdies to open. Then Fire Inspector Sean prowse00 showed up and made me put it out citing “crowd safety”.

Despite my objections, (there’s water and irrigation everywhere…) I obliged not wanting to be kicked out after such a hot start and my game took the turn I feared

as I proceeded to do nothing for the rest of the round (2 birdies, 2 bogies, 8 pars).

The second round was just a ducking fisaster

as I struggled to get a grip on the even slower greens. The cold streak with the flat stick continued until I found a little bit at the end of the round to salvage something for Chris to work with


Round 3 was one of those rounds where I truly don’t know how I ended up with the score I did. Swearing like a sailor

for the majority of the round even though I was subconsciously playing a really solid round. Got to the end with a clean card and a chance at double digits but couldn’t quite pull it off

The fourth round was rather pedestrian on the opening 9 but really came home strong with six birdies on the back and a clean card. Hoping it’s good enough to win the match

OFTR Week 8 or I still don’t know what happened last week



Coming off the CC rounds I kind of expected this week wouldn’t go as well as last. Started out very slow with a couple birdies and a bad double. Then the rally started as I was able to reignite the flat stick on the closing 11 holes playing some of my best golf of the week to once again put up some decent points for the team

I am still in a healing process that takes precedent over golfing atm, so with your permissions I will have Scott continue to cover me for next 2 weeks. My focus has to be on getting myself in a position where I can get up and downstairs which is quite painful and impossible at this time, so I am trying to focus on exercise to strengthen my right leg. At this time I barely can lift 4 inches off ground , to get in and out of a bed a chair etc is a task.
I truly appreciate his help for me this season.

Carol, it is my honor (especially as a healthcare provider) to fill in for you. If there is anything I can do on the electronic side to make your life better, let me know! Agree that setting healing as the priority is the smart move. Do everything the rehab people tell you. Probably 90% of people don't and they pay for it down the line. It is painful and annoying, but will pay big dividends.

What a frustrating morning of pixel golf. First 2 rounds, absolute dross, 3rd round round steady and a pretty special 4th round that won't even be counted on TGCT as the first 2 will ensure I miss the cut. Last round should at least hopefully pick up 2 points for the team.

No crashes, a few stutters that didn't affect anything, no tempo issues, just me and my atrocious putting

Looking like we'll definitely be going with 32 players for Season 3. Much more manageable and a shorter 7 week season.

Very kind Pen but two seven's ain't cutting it in CC-A so I'm disappointed with the effort. Always next week. Onward as Golden Balls says.
