Designer Showcase. I seem to have found my groove in this game. Not scoring huge under par rounds. But they are under par. Hitting fairways, greens and even getting confident enough to try to shape shots. Ever since yesterday and I added two points in my skills. Not sure where exactly I put them but they must have been the right ones lol. 9 more levels to go and I'm maxed out. Short video to a) show what software is on the delete list. Pops up unrequested mid shot. b) my confidence to F around and try and shape a shot lol. c) I need to upload my 1'st official 2k23 replay sometime. After redoing my YT logo earlier I need to use the space lol. A question if anyone knows. I don't remember getting any new fittings yesterday while playing the all society events. Do they drop in society play? Going to smash through a round or two of career just to see if any drop. I hope I'm not in RNG hell. Really want a red iron shaft and red putter everything.

For the benefit of PC and X-boxers this is Loveskud aka Justin Pansegrau currently ranked 2 on TGCT We people who play on the Gaystation are sick of his ugly dial - always on top of the LB! Share our pain! On a more serious note I've just finished round 2 of the TGCT exhibition event which is being run on Pro difficulty and I'm -12. Compare this to TBC Master difficulty where I'm +31 at the same stage. I agree with Ben SkyBlueBen that Pro is going to be too easy for the better players. It suits me perfectly but I can see his point. Surely there's a happy medium? The main problem as I see it is that TGCTours doesn't have the resources to fine tune tours as we would like. They would much rather go with the "one size fits all" approach and you can understand why. I would gladly pay for a tour that is designed to cater for the good, and not so good players. I would happily fork out say $50 p.a. to have the CC flights split between Master and Pro. I think there would be others who would be prepared to do this also? I'm going to tag Doyley in this post in the hope that he reads it and maybe could comment on TGCT ever possibly charging people to participate in the tours rather than relying on donations.

I'm going to let you in on a little secret. A while back you posted a replay of a hole in one (can't remember if that was what it was, think it was, a par 4 at that) where you shaped a shot around some trees and got a good bounce. I learned something that day. Every time I would shape a shot I would (for example in my clip above I would have aimed way more left) aim away from where I wanted to go and would be going "what the fuc was that?" After seeing how you shape shots I started it and it all fell into place....after over two years. Now in 21 I was shaping a lot and they were working. Now only just getting brave enough to do in 23.

Game play aside. I don't think this place will survive past this season if they go master in CC. Majority of donors probably come from CC. Just by sheer numbers. If on master you will have people getting frustrated and dropping out. There will be more threads of people complaining it's too hard (people who only just found this site and maybe don't understand what it's all about. They will go out in a blaze of wagtunes/glory. Admins will be barraged with nasty emails way more often from the same. Numbers of participants on this site will drop. Donations will suffer. We will not make the season goal. Not trying to sound all doom and gloom but it's just the way I see it playing out. There are no tutorials for new players on how to upgrade, what to upgrade, how to play on harder difficulties, no messaging about what this site is all about. People will come in here blind, be floored by the difficulty and will lash out. Also, they will eventually spread the word that "TGCTours is..." fill in whatever negative description you want. That all being said. I hate birdie fests and up until yesterday was thinking I won't be able to manage with master. Now I think I can and will survive. Others will not. I think a split of the CC would be the best way to deal with it all. But yeah, only 3 admins, no coders. I understand TOTALLY why they may choose the one size fits all. I too would pay to have them do what needs to be done. That said. I'll be donating again and most likely will end up around the same as last year.

So I've been posting my observations since Tuesday on the new game but basically fine with whatever the TBC group goes with--pro, master, whatever.. I try to play a diverse set of societies to numb myself from rage swinging when things get rough. So I try pro, master, legend, etc. in the grand scheme. +15 is ok for me this week because I know Master swing will be challenging. They'll be more patches ( hoping they fix draw and fades). My trust is with the admins for TBC and CC. Whatever decisions are made I'm confident it will be fair. I haven't figured out club fittings, etc. I'm still playing in basic mode (skill points unspent) but maybe some improvements are automated? IDK. I'm fine with whatever makes it fun for everyone in TBC.

Definitely received something over the weekend when I was playing a random course for fun. Definitely received nothing from society rounds.

In reality, does it really make a true difference at what tier we all play in CC? Master or Pro the players will still get slotted in a tier. The particular tier will have a full allotment of players competing. Now if master was treacherous and unplayable I’d understand. I’m just a CC-D player. I’ve been playing the Kinetic and Elite tourneys as they are on master. My scores average somewhere between (-3 to +6) The master was nowhere like it was in the old game. I think it is way too soon to judge on what master will do to the players with regards to dropping out or going to the Beer League… We are basically one week in and less than a week with the Oct 14 release date. Players have to grind no doubt and their play will improve with the fittings. I just feel Pro setting will be like taking candy away from a baby. Do players like the cuts line in the double digits after one round? Week after week? The irritates me more than a hard difficulty as with difficulty I’ll be slotted in the proper tier anyway with hope of improving. I really don’t worry about the tiers I’m in at a particular time. I just like the Tour format and will adjust week to week. And I fully understand what you are saying. I’m just throwing in my 2 cents.
