Played Rd1 of tours at -5. Should have been better but poor course management. Difference in tempo is quite clear but because of numbers who will struggle with master, I feel challenge will have to be pro. Lots will find it too easy but many more will not. The top players will then move up and the lower division folk wont get sick and jack it in. I am sticking with master as my personal set up but no issue if Doyley and co make it pro. I’ve been hoping to see CC go Master despite struggling myself but do wonder how the lower CC players are finding it. There’s no way you can have Pro difficulty on the Pro Tours so it remains to be seen if TGCT want multiple difficulties to retain numbers. I’d still like to see…. Platinum - Legend Elite/Kinetic - Master CC - split into a CC-Master and CC-Pro with no promotion/demotion between the two levels in CC.

I do think pro will be too easy for a lot but Masters too hard for a lot more. Seems to stack that it will be as you state mate and I wonder if they could split Masters for say top 5 divisions in challenge and pro for the rest. Problem being I think he would have to set pro for qualifiers and then what does he do a few weeks into season when new folk enter qualifiers. Bit of a headache for them.

I'm enjoying masters and hope they go with it for CC. I think it's way more reasonable than masters in 21 and the more I play the better feel I'm getting. Haven't used any skill points and just a couple fittings on my irons. To be honest, I think it's easy to rush to judgement until everyone has a fully maxed out player and can experiment with what suits them more. It may or may not make a big difference, we'll see. No way to tell right now. Looking at the attributes, there's a for sure difference in attributes between a gray fitting and an orange. The archetypes seem to matter (I haven't strayed from rhythm yet though). The required grind and apparent rng (not sure 100% how prevalent this is yet) of it all is a different conversation. Also it's been out less than a week. 2 days if you got it on regular release. I want a challenge...and for me, if pro is way easier than what masters is (haven't tried it and don't have much desire to but I suppose I should check it out) I'll be disappointed if TGC goes that way...I don't want to have to switch between masters and pro all the time. I find it less random and more predictable than masters in 21. Getting my thumb to follow is another story. Seems to me the swing plane being off line is much more a hinderance this version and I have to work on that. Nothing more frustrating than perfect tempo but you pull or push it a ton because your swing plane is way off line. Here's my brew crew rounds. Round 1 was my worst in 23 yet, nothing worked. Riveria is a tough first go at it! Narrow fairways and some brutal pins.

not gonna lie since ive been playing game was frustrated from the start as to why i couldnt keep line straight (had no problem in 21) it was making letters it was that bad but was getting away with it especially on drives not so much on approaches & putting couldnt get blue lne near white line so been trying diff ways to hold controller without success even changed xbox controller to no avail then bang was hitting drives in practice & i hit a straight i thought wow where did that come from then realised i was pressing right sick with just tip of thumb took a few more shots & bang it was straight other than the fast/slows but ive finally found out how to try to hit a straight blue line so decided nows the time upgrade skills /fittings etc ive gone for power not sure a great idea as struggle with driver now but ill get it anyway decided to round 3 & 4 of brew crew was amased at my change in game performance see for yourself (maybe just lucky today )

Master swing is ok for me as it is now. I now hit many more fairways compared to '21, however i also miss i lot more greens now for some or other reason. Not really sure why yet.
Im not a fan of how the short game feels right now, to my mind my swing input does not match my intended distance resulting in chips and putts generally going too far.
I suppose with time one will adjust to what the game expects, but i do hope they tune the short game a bit. Atm it feels that one needs to stab instead of finesse in order to succeed with the short game. And that sucks.

Lost count of the number of occasions I thought I’d done a decent shot only to see it roll and roll and roll generally off the green. I’m pretty much hating that extra roll and the short game. Too OTT for me.

Art Vandelay Cruising on the Riviera River. Loved the first instalment of Brew Crew version 2K23. First real go on Masters. Tough but will get used to it I think. Happy with my effort. Only mistake was to try and splash out of a bunker in the first round and ended up with an 11. Got tripped up by the default pitch when under 150 yards a couple of times. I think default should always be normal until you're less than 60 yards out. I think HB can delete splash shots if they don't fix them because they just don't work. Apart from a few issues, loving the new game.

Don’t be shy with your feedback 😉
While I say that I’m going to give an honourable mention to Sean. Without the hours that he and Carol put in behind the scenes we wouldn’t have anything to play here.
Now get grinding, the more you play the easier it’ll get!
Onward!!!

I have to agree with you SkyBlueBen. The more you practice the more feel for the game you will get. It is a gentle back and smooth forward swing on controller for me hitting fairways. It really isn't the same motion as in 2k21. Those that struggle should be going to the range with haptic feedback and or distance control meters until they get the feel of how the new swing and putting is. I certainly miss a lot of close putts but I am getting the feel for it. Strugglers might try Rhythm architype. I also agree with Palo that the game has to be about enjoyment. This game is 1 week in and testing has just begun. Looking at the TGC tours leaderboards for CC which is set to pro, just reminds me of last game with people shooting unrealistic scores.

Best thing ever in the new game is the mullet 🤣. I'm sporting my grey one proudly.
