Having put through a couple dozen rounds on the new game I'm afraid I'm going to have to bow out of the Brew Crew. It's been a blast and I appreciate all the behind the scenes work that is put in. This version is just a complete downgrade from 2k21 and I don't think I'm going to be able to grind it out each week unless some major patches come out. That said if you're ever in a pinch and need a sub let me know, I'll still be around the forums as I plan on designing a few more tracks. Cheers. Art Vandelay SkyBlueBen prowse00 Don't jump ship just yet Lucas. The whole reason behind these test events is to get feedback and we will decide what direction to take based on the good of a group as a whole.

Brew Crew Exhibition - First Pint Second Round Lines still need cleared, barkeep Very pleased to announce that I cut loose the load that is known as the ghost of zooby97, and let me tell you, a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Shaved a remarkable 2 strokes from my scorecard, as well as eliminating those pesky triple-bogeys and birdies, Art VandelayRd 2: +14 At this rate, I’ll be breaking par just in time for PGA2K56.

Thanks to all the Brew Crew admins for your work behind the scenes and setting up the new societies. Looking forward to the new season with the new game.
I played analogue swing with default ball and Powerhouse architype with no fittings or skills added.
I smashed the rounds out pretty quickly so I probably could have scored a little better if I had taken more time. It's a shame the splash shot is so bad as chipping out of bunkers doesn't feel right but that's what I have been doing as it is the percentage shot. I only used the splash shot once and that was by mistake and I left the ball in the bunker.
Once things get going properly I plan to move to Rhythm architype which gives a solid base on swing timing/swing plane/putting and then build up power from there with fittings.
Master feels like a decent challenge and I'll be happy if TGC tours uses Master settings I think.

Brew Crew on Exhibit - First Pint Round 3 Lines are clearing but still foamy. Inexplicable opening birdie was quickly corrected. The improvement continues, Art Vandelay. Rd 3: +10 Bring on @luvskud

Art VandelayBrew crew first and maybe last pint How long do you think I’m going to enjoy this kind of scoring. I actually felt I played well the first round but still shot +9 3 birds 1 🦅 for the full event.

Art VandelayFirst Pint Exhibition Spectacular Having been playing on master since release and slowly but surely improving, I stayed in the woods and teed off feeling like I could score decently well. Round 1 was very up and down but the circles beat the squares to take the match. Round 2 was more of the same but the squares edged out the circles and I found myself atop the current PC leaderboard in unfamiliar territory. Clearly the pressure was too much and even more clearly the next time my gut says “you should probably stop” I’ll possibly listen as it was a disaster from the jump. My tempo was all over, the putter lost (although there were some very very questionable pin positions), and there was a par 5 where I reached with a short par putt and ended up walking away with a double digit score in the card. I’ll play round 4 tomorrow but I had to walk away or I was going to chuck the controller

Art Vandelay Riviera Country Club - First Pint - It was tough but not as bad as TST this week (I scored +16 in R1). Glad to see my mates are right there in the trenches with me.

Rd 2 at Rivihairier
After my 1st round +1 I got cocky and was 6 over after 4 and 9 over after 8 holes. Thankfully it stayed that way.
Lots of times I was hitting way short of 100% so need to sort that out.
Still using rhythm but really need a fitting which boosts my driver about 40 yards , anyone got a spare.
So +1, +9 up to now.

At the moment I'm really not sure if I'm going to be continuing the Tours if Master difficulty will be required.
I have been grinding the game through the weekend and I've come to the conclusion that Master difficulty with the free mouse swing seems to be too much of a guessing game and a grind for me. I don't expect to shoot -15 every round and I don't care about that either, my point is to enjoy my rounds. Right now I'm not enjoying the gameplay on Master difficulty. I'm just biting my nails after each shot thinking am I going to miss the fairway or the green to the left or right and by how much. That's how unpredictable the tempo feels like at the moment with the mouse, not to mention it's already a trick on it's own to stay on the swing line. Seems to be that the people I've played with are struggling a lot with the Master difficulty as well, shooting well over par on average a round.
This is not a rant, just pointing out my opinion. I tried Pro difficulty earlier today and I enjoyed my game more. I wasn't shooting -15, but I felt like I have at least some idea where my shots are going without absolutely sweating my ass of each shot. In my opinion Master difficulty should be used on the top tour levels only, below that Pro difficulty is sufficient enough for the more casual players. Maybe some people like the grind of the Master difficulty and that's fine, but I just want to enjoy my rounds and relax by not having to think too much each shot.

Played Rd1 of tours at -5. Should have been better but poor course management.
Difference in tempo is quite clear but because of numbers who will struggle with master, I feel challenge will have to be pro.
Lots will find it too easy but many more will not. The top players will then move up and the lower division folk wont get sick and jack it in.
I am sticking with master as my personal set up but no issue if Doyley and co make it pro.
