Played a little better the last two rounds with a -1 and a -4 last round to finish up -4 through four. No marks up or down but can’t complain and I also must be perfectly placed in this division. Good luck all 👍

Wow, that really is a difference. Maybe put the controller down and come back later if you start to feel keyed up or maybe even if you have two bogeys in a row. I think I am going to start doing that. I feel like a gambler at times, "OK, that was bad but if I can just get back to par I will then take a break."
Nah, I don't think I can get by the feeling without powering through it. Its like, no matter what, subconsciously I know whether it counts or not, and end up trying too hard. When I'm relaxed, I primarily hit what they call red fasts or perfects, but I can aim right of where I want and it works out perfectly. And I putt straight. But when I have the feeling that it counts, I hit very slow, because I'm thinking too hard on the shot, and 'trying' too hard to make it perfect. Then on the putts, I somehow pull them to the left except when I try to compensate and aim a bit right. then it goes straight. So it makes for a big ol' mess!
I'll get through it!
My putting is what goes to hell and I also have the sudden little hook to the left at the top or sometimes just a big slanted line. I get that in "no count" rounds as well, but just not so much. I just need to slow down and think through shots. Not sure why I get in a rush when it counts!

Good luck all 👍 John, you are definitely outplaying me! I guess I am going to have to get serious (like I wasn't trying before). Great job this week (especially R4) and good luck next week.

Cheers Scott! To be honest my game is so inconsistent though because I can play out of my skin and then another round I’m all over the place. I really don’t know if it does have anything to do with servers or internet speed at home as I’m swinging the same but it goes left and right. Today is one of those days and I had a nightmare in the CUCC society two rounds and went to start another society round and had to quit. I think sometimes I try to hard Scott and I think if we relax more we would play better. Good luck this week and Josia 👍

wow, worst game ever to start Round 1 this week. Well, not EVER, but close!
Most of it was putting this week. Blade That exact thing you mentioned about putting happens to me. I want to think that it is caused by rushing things, by not following through on the putt, but I can't say for sure. I'll get a slanted line, and the ball goes off at a 45 degree angle almost, sometimes right, sometimes left.
But yesterday, it was happening almost every single hole. It resulted in 39 putts, and therefore, last place.

I was having that little bend at the end on putts and found by really pushing the stick forward firmly and fast on my putts helped a bit so maybe give this a try. Hope you can pull it back on your second round and with thinking you have nothing to lose you will relax and play well! I’ve just finished my first round and finished a shocking -6 and if it hadn’t been for a silly shot on the 17th it would of been -7! This is what I was saying and I can play like this and then have a complete nightmare and it questions if it’s me or to do with tempo etc. Anyway very pleased with that and will take a break before continuing and good luck you guys 👍

Josia I was even through 15 (and happy for it) and then double bogied 16 and 17 to end +4. 4 putted 16 and over pitched badly on 17. Ended with 31 putts, so still work to be done there. Good luck to all on R2.

And R2 a total disaster for me at +14. This was all short game stuff - landing way away from the hole and badly missing the lag putt. When R2 scores post, I look forward to seeing how many putts - I am betting over 40. Demotion mark this week!

Keep your chin up Scott and we all know your better than that and it can happen sometimes. As I said earlier my rounds always so different and finished my second round even par and was +2 at one stage but managed a couple of birdies on the back nine to stay at -6 through two! Good luck all 👍

Just finished my four rounds and had a very nervous round three thinking about trying to get to -9 for one promotion mark and went on to finish -1 round three and decided to carry on with my last round and matched my first round score of -6 so through four sitting at -13! Not sure if that will get me one or two promotion marks but so happy to of finished that and was very nervous 😄

Well played 4 rounds, especially putting - only 26 per round (27 R4). Under 1.5 putts per hole, I will take that all day long. Great work.

Good luck to you all this week 👍
