Was pretty happy with a -1 in R1 after the first 3 holes started me at +4. R2 pretty much the opposite, super happy with the front 9 but did not end well for a +2 on the day (+1 overall). No huge melt downs though, so happy with that. Putting was most of the strokes (and forgot to switch from pitch on one swing).

Wow look at that and we’re all back together again! That’s fantastic news! I didn’t do great on the promo +4 but had I of still been in L I think we would of all moved up together but so funny how it’s all worked out and great to see you both here! I’m flying back home to England for Christmas tomorrow so will have to try and get my first two rounds in today after work.

My R2 score isn't showing up, but I had an awful showing for my first outing in K Land.
+7 then +6. Ugh.
Knowing I won't make the cut, I went and shot R3 anyway just for practice. Shot -1. LOL this tells me I just need to relax!

My stay in K (see what I did there? haha) may be short lived if I can't get it together. LOL
Had a reprieve from last week due to a round 2 glitch in the system, so hoped to start this week afresh, anew and good to go.
Was actually doing that, cruising along pretty good until the halfway point. Then the wheels came off, I lost all ability to putt it seemed, and bogied six in a row. hit the water later for a double to finish +9. Ugh!!!!

I had the opposite problem - had a terrible R1 going (+6 after 8 holes) so I stopped being so exact and just sat back and played. Finished at +1. R2 I again did not have a great front 9 (+4) but had a -2 on the back, so +3 after 2 rounds. BTW, went over to play the PGA2K21 society tournament (got an advertisement for it, figure what the heck) and it is crazy easy. They really have the aids turned up. Scott

I think nerves, trying too hard, things like that probably have a ton to do with it.
I went into round 2, and was going along fine again. Around hole 10, I start thinking, hey this is going pretty good, I may do good this round! Immediately I couldn't putt, and went +6 in the next four holes. I think, well crap, I did it again. I just don't care, I'm just gonna finish this stupid round. Proceeded to birdie all but one of the remaining holes and just barely missed that one, to end up with a +3. Go figure. LOL

Just finished my first two rounds snd well I really could not set the world on fire and first round -1 but second round +3 and struggled so much with my approach shots and would pitch on the green and then roll off or just lip out on birdie chances but might of just managed to make the cut at least and see it through into the weekend. Good luck guys 👍

I went out today and did round 3, like usual even though I'm cut I still like to practice.
Scored a -3.
Man if I can figure out how to get rid of the yips I'll do great!

Good luck guys 👍 You made it by a whole 2 strokes John - I just made the cut. I had an OK R3 (+1) but R4 was a putting hot and cold. Made some great putts of long distances and had two 3-putts within 10 feet on the back nine. Both were, "OK, this is easy let's move on." And then I 3-putted. I am not going to get any promotion marks for a while and should be able to make most cuts, so I guess that means K is where I belong right now. Since I am clearly not going to win, hoping I can just relax (I feel relaxed, but man do I plan different at times) and enjoy some consistent, par golf (no bogeys!).

Wow, that really is a difference. Maybe put the controller down and come back later if you start to feel keyed up or maybe even if you have two bogeys in a row. I think I am going to start doing that. I feel like a gambler at times, "OK, that was bad but if I can just get back to par I will then take a break."

Nah, I don't think I can get by the feeling without powering through it. Its like, no matter what, subconsciously I know whether it counts or not, and end up trying too hard. When I'm relaxed, I primarily hit what they call red fasts or perfects, but I can aim right of where I want and it works out perfectly. And I putt straight. But when I have the feeling that it counts, I hit very slow, because I'm thinking too hard on the shot, and 'trying' too hard to make it perfect. Then on the putts, I somehow pull them to the left except when I try to compensate and aim a bit right. then it goes straight. So it makes for a big ol' mess!
I'll get through it!
