Hey all! I finally qualified and got my tour card. Hoping to make the cut in my first tournament. Shot +2 in the first round and I'm right there at the cut line. I had a disastrous triple bogey on 9 - put my second shot in the water - otherwise my first round would have been decent. Looking forward to playing against everyone!! Christian Welcome Christian - exciting times! My goal remains to 1) not take any demerit marks and 2) make the cut. I have very slowly improved, but I don't put the time into the game I should (but still having fun!). Good luck! Scott Thanks Scott - Shot 67 in Rd 2 and 68 in Rd 3 - Round 4 was a complete disaster - I had 2 Quads and shot 83!! +4 for the tournament. All in all a good tournament - made the cut at least!

Nicely done. I shot poorly and amazingly. In the first two rounds I had a quad and two triple bogeys but 14 birdies. I am certain I missed the cut at +3, but I should stay out of demotion points as well, so I will be back again next week!

Back after 3 month break. Ingloriously demoted from J to K, but well deserved. Just practicing on Pinedale Trails, will enter next week's event. Pinedale is a nice course for clearing the cobwebs. Looking forward to shooting with the K folks.

Trying to get back in form. Shot +10 for the first round...rough front nine, but settled on the back end, but damage already done. +1 in round 2 as I played more conservative with my shots. Overall, pleased with the total results since I've been off for 3 months. Pinedale is a nice course which I enjoyed playing. Obvious that I missed the cut so I packed the clubs in the trunk of the car and headed over to Knob's Creek. Good luck to those that made the cut!

A while back, I found my score improved when I got more conservative. As my shot has become more consistent (but far from good) I have gotten a bit more aggressive. Your post has nudged me to try the conservative route again. It is fun shooting the big stick in a narrow fairway when you make it, but the 3W to the wide area is a better shot for me. Good luck next week! Scott

Knob's Creek looks to be a lot of fun and challenging to boot! Played a few practice rounds and enjoyed the projected conditions for the first two rounds. Lovely design imho. A couple of holes that left me double bogey or more even though I was 6 ft from the hole for a birdie attempt...I'm a decent putter and the lines are that deceptive.

Interesting two rounds for me. Shot +7 in Rd1...winds didn't bother me too much. FIR was great, but could not adjust for the very fast green speeds (practiced with fast green speeds) so birdie attempt putts shot by the hole leaving crap par attempts. Tried compensating, but left some attempts short of hole. Round two, better, shot +1 as the condition of the greens were more to my liking. Enjoyed the course very much, yet I'll not be around for the final two rounds. So on to the next. Good luck to all that made the cut...I'll see you next week!

I had similar luck with a +6 in round 1 and a -3 in round 2. AFTER shooting a practice round just before round 1 of -10 🤷♂️ I’ll be down at CC-L next tournament. Nice meeting y’all for my two days of being a board member 😂

Wow...+10 for rd 1, in favorable conditions. Medical examiner's autopsy report reveals that my avatar's demise had multiple contributing factors. 50% FIR, playing from the rough for half the round, 30+ putts, GIR was decent, but putting from 40 feet and on put a damper on the scoring. Self inflicted wounds to be sure. When you start off with double bogey on the 1st hole, you know there's trouble brewing! I'll play round 2 tonight...high winds, should be "fun." Good luck to all in Special K.

Rd 2...+10. I actually played "better" this round despite the high wind conditions. Lousy putting with late breaking lines did most of the damage. +7 going into the par 4 18th...played it safe or so I thought. Red Fast of the tee heading straight towards the Boulders of Doom. Ball pin balled about the rocks finally settling into the water. Ball drop in the sand. Good recovery shot 22 yards from the outer perimeter of the green. Eff'ed up pitch and miss read for double bogey putt attempt left me settling for a triple bogey. Glad this was over despite more positive ball striking and tempo. I'll keep working at it. Good luck to all that make the cut. On to the next.

Hello to all of you in "Special K". Shot +2 in Round 1. Had to work my rear end off for that! But with the projected cut line currently sitting at +6, I've a realistic shot at making the cut barring that I don't shoot over +4 in round 2. I'll see how it unfolds later tonight. First time in awhile that I've something to play for going into the second round.

Wauw .... that was a bad round. I had so many problems on the green. FIR 71%, even GIR not very bad (50%) but missed a few par3 first shots. but putting ... wauw .... 40 putts .... i started with a QUAD on hole 2 .... Not even the speed that's going better and better ... but direction. You see fast moving arrows moving to the left .... aim just out the cup on the right ... and I miss on the right. Way back I see the same moving arrows but now the change the course off the ball much more .... grrr. I know speed has something to do how much it brakes but man o man it's hard. I think I will be out after this week for a new change to qualify

All I had to do was shoot +6 in the 2nd round...fat chance and fat lady singing her a$$ off...shot a pitiful +14 for a total of +16. Sadly after screwing up on the 18th security unceremoniously escorted me off of the property. On to Orion Ranch...good luck to those in "Special K" that made the cut.

I feel your pain Tim - I'm hoping that my swing is starting to come around - I shot 69, 79 and then the third round had 8 birdies, 1 triple and 2 bogeys for another 69. Rd 4 is making me very nervous with crazy high wind. Hope you score well at Orion - I'm out of town next week so I'll be skipping this tourney. I'm hoping to get back home in time to get my 4 rounds in for the promotion event though.
