Leave it to HB to develop a game for 2 years, push it out and be the best selling game for that week during launch then ditch what they made 1 month later. HB at it's very finest.

The putting stroke prior to this tweak was fine. Sure it took a bit to iron out but to me once you figured it out it was flawless. Feels very slow and deliberately interrupted now.

Haven't played yet since this change... Does this mean I cannot use the Snedeker-approach anymore? As in, fast backswing and fast forward swing based on feel. It was working absolutely fine for me...

Yeah that’s pretty much what it means. I used the feel based approach for short and medium putts, but that doesn’t work with the same tempo anymore. Idk if this was even an intentional change, but for now at least it is very different. The people who aren’t affected by this change either A) use the slow takeback / haptic feedback for most every putt or B) people who never were good with the original putting in 2k21

Thanks for the response though!

Was doing fine with the quicker putt animation but gladly welcome 2019 speed over the fast. Also the whole game has changed, check out your white bar (fast/slow) at the top of your swing box. It has changed as well, master difficulty now feels like pro did 2 days ago. Much easier to obtain a perfect swing. Again I was finally used to it but again I welcome the easier tempo!

The putting probably needed changing. I quite often twitched a three foot putt ten feet past. Thats just unrealistic. Its now like a hybrid of 2k21 and tgc19. We’ll get used to it.

I'm gonna need a driver to putt on 119 green speeds now. My avatar's putting stroke won't go back that far for a 70ft uphill putt. Guess I'll just play a splash on the green in that situation and hope nobody catches on

They've decided to tarmac our road on the same day our recycling was supposed to be collected, now all of my road has full bins until next week! Doyley can you shed some light on this please?

As a PC player and a mouse guy, I haven't noticed the described phenomenon at all since I pull the mouse back enough to start the stroke, wait for it to hit the desired animation point and move forward.
However... In a likely connected issue, I've started having times where instead of actually putting the ball when I move the mouse forward, I simply return to address position as if I hadn't done the downswing at all. I tried jamming the mouse forward hard, but it seems to be completely random and not something that I can reproduce on a consistent basis. Since no actual putt occurs it's more annoyance than anything, but still, WTF?

I noticed a big difference too and had a wild first tourney putting...just today I had 5 3 putts in a round because all of a sudden i was leaving putts way too short. I also missed 5 birdie putts under 10 feet due to this issue and thought maybe nerves were getting me and I just messed up but interesting to see where this may be a change in the overall mechanic of it.
