Observation, I believe that anyone who tries to or wants to qualify should have to play the 2 original course that were played when the season began. The CC courses are NOT even close to the difficulty that the originals were. Not to mention that it was 8 rounds total, not 4. Your idea is interesting. But the difficulty of the CC course doesn't matter per se.
The idea is to base Qualifying Pool scores to CC-A scores and have a model to disperse cards based of of that:
The scores in the weekly qualifiers are compared to the 20th placed player for that weeks' CC-A event (base score). There are added strokes to that base score to get to the top CC-A card given, then that gets you to the base Kinetic score, add X strokes to get to the base Elite minimum, then add X strokes again to get to the the minimum Platinum needed. So players would have to shoot really high CC-A scores to get to Kinetic, then scores that would very likely win that current CC-A event and up get Elite cards, and then scores that are far above CC-A scores are needed to get a Platinum card.
Then the rest are distributed based on available tour cards for the week.
I do like your idea, but I think it doesn't work quickly enough to keep the tours fully stocked like (I think) Admin/Tournament Director wishes as it would be a minimum of two weeks to gather scores every time it is run. Then the logistical problem happens of how do you play out when the Special Events Society is occupied? Do you wait another week or two to start a new two week run?
Sorry if I got rambly and I lost you. The way the qualifying worked back in TGC1 was the best, IMO. Unfortunately that way is no longer possible.

I see you have played in the past - should appear, but if after 2 hours it does not, then submit a trouble ticket. I see beer league scores, so your name should be good. I don't see beer league on your profile, but you may want to check that box is now unchecked. Good luck on Q!

UPDATE: After R3 reveal there will be a projected tour cards line on the leaderboard as well as projected cards available at the top above the scores. This is mainly to give you an idea of how many Challenge Circuit cards will be available that week and does not take into account people earning possible pro cards. Mainly there to help narrow down where the cutoff should be but don't shoot the messenger if it's off!

I'm currently playing in the beer league. I'd like to try qualifying for the tours. So I went into Info/Edit Profile and couldn't find any refereence to the Beer League. I remember I had to check a box there to register for the beer league. But to un-register, where is that box for me to uncheck? Or do I simply register for qualifying and would that automatically unregister me? Thanks Mike

Doyley I have failed miserably to qualify for circuit, although last week my HCP was +8.8.
I seem to have been banished to the Beer League, is this permanent or can I try to qualify again?
Thanks
Terry

So why have my 3 rounds not appeared this week? Mmmm who the hell put me in the Beer League?
Is that the reason?

Something has gone wrong this week - I got demoted from CC-A to CC-B, but I'm appearing in the weekly qualifying leaderboard instead!

I often have a look around to see how my fellow Xboxers are doing, got a bit confused when I saw that! Maybe the last 3 weeks were just a bad dream?

If you don't have a check box, then go to the Qualifying page and register. Then your 4 rounds will get counted and hopefully the following week you are in. I think it is going to be pretty tough for a few weeks as a bunch of people made it in the last month, so things have to settle out a little (as people lose interest, get better, life gets in the way, etc). Good luck!

I'm a little confused on the placement, but I am sure I will find out in a few days. If you have finished near the top of the Q-school leaderboard, does land you in a better league, or does everyone go to the same one that qualifies? Sorry I am new to the qualifying process.
