well, complete MELTDOWN.
put multiple balls into the water on two different holes. went on tilt and couldn't get my composure back. not only did i not improve on my score, but multiple penalty strokes (4 different balls into the water!) resulted in a +8 and my first missed cut after making 3 straight. so disappointed.

Greetings all.
I only just joined a couple of weeks ago. First time using Master difficulty in the Qualifying tournament two weeks ago and shot +15. Figured a couple of things out and finished 2nd in K last week. Got fast tracked up to I. Not sure I'll be around long...
I enjoyed the course this week and managed to avoid all of the disasters that are lurking out there. Went 65-66-63-64 to shoot -26 for the week. I literally yipped a short putt on the final hole of the week, otherwise it would have been a pair of 63s on the weekend. And by yipped, I mean that my hand spasmed something fierce and I left it short and right, just like i would in real life :-)
I'm really enjoying these tours, though and looking forward to seeing how far up the divisions I get. Keep it in the short stuff all!

alright, a -2 to start. was very disappointed to start with a string of pars when i was getting MANY birdies early in the round in practice rounds. now, i gotta follow it up without crashing like i did last week. staying out of the water on the few holes was key for me in round one - gotta keep that up!

Finished first two rounds at E. Disappointing because this was the first time I felt I had my swing going. Tons of birdie holes but left putts short, and my pitch shot still terrible. Also had an +8 on one hole to ruin my 1st round score and then a +7 to ruin the 2nd round. Was hoping to make the cut this week.

alright, alright!
i actually backed up my decent (-2), safe round one with a slightly better round two! after last week, when i had a solid round one before a round 2 collapse, I actually managed to improve, scoring 3 birdies early, and hitting a couple of important par-saving putts late.
i managed a -4 for round 2, leaving me at a -6, safely inside the cut line! i feel like the other cuts i made were always by a single stroke - it's nice to be a little bit farther up the leader board this time! i'm currently 40th out of 112, and i hold out some hope that i can finish in the top 40 or top 50 for the first time on tour!
good luck out there...

I’m slowly working my way to demotion with 2 demotion marks and at least 1 more this week. After going +5 in first 2 rounds, I shoot -5 on round 3 but it won’t count as I will miss the cut.
Is it my imagination or are scores, even in a low group like Cc-I starting to get ridiculously low just like it was in TGC 2019? I played in some other society where someone shot -62 over 4 rounds on master setting. That just seems impossible to me, that anyone can go 72 holes and basically never mess up.

i am having similar feelings of wondering if i'll ever progress to the point where a low-60 score is even possible. though honestly, i enjoy being excited to get a birdie, as opposed to being disappointed with a par. i'm just trying to put under-par rounds together at the moment. i'm at +1 thru 6 in round 3, so i've got some work to do!

Ok, we are back to TGC 2019 scoring without a doubt. CC-I looking like you need a -20 or better for a chance for a promotion mark. I'm wondering if there will be a CC tour I can actually compete in. Maybe 2k22 will be the answer.

well, i rallied late in round 3 to post a third under-par round. and i'm -1 thru 6 in round 4. trying to improve on my best-ever finish of T75 3 weeks ago. a 3-under 33 on the back 9 saved me in round 3. we'll see if i can do it again. i feel like in practice rounds i've birdied a bunch of holes on the front 9, but in round 3 i struggled at the start, scoring par on each of the easy first 4 holes. i feel like my goal should be to be -2 or -3 after 4, but everything gets a bit harder when the round is "real" -
good luck out there to those who are finishing.

a guy just shot -40 for the tournament. are we playing the same sport? this is CC-I??!!?? Yeah, I’m losing interest. Been through this with tgc 2019. Despite being in lower level tour, scores are still ridiculous. What’s the sense. I can never earn a promotion, and as the scores go lower and lower, it’s just a matter of time to demote, and then wait to demote again until I’m out of cc level. It’s funny how this version was going to stop the stupid low scoring. It did nothing, maybe scores are even lower.

i'm still having fun pushing myself to improve. i just look at those scores and can't really comprehend them. the approaches must be near-perfect? they ALWAYS eagle?

I guess they pretty much birdie every hole. For them, birdies are pars and pars are bogeys. No chance of competing with them. Best to compete with yourself and try and improve incrementally each week, otherwise you'll lose interest in a flash.
