For all - the main TGCTours website will feature the leaderboard for the tour you're on right at the top. If you want to browse the others, page down a bit and look under the 'Active Events' section..

Good luck to all from the worst player on the tour! Looks like I sandbagged though as I continue to improve and shot a +4 in my first round (far better than the +100 for Q school). Looking forward to finishing a week under par soon! Scott Returning to my true form in R2. One double and 2 birdies, but sadly, 10 bogeys. +14 overall, argh. Was really struggling with my swing and tempo. Walked away 3 times hoping it would come back, but I just am not good yet. Back to more practice!

Stick at it matey and I’m the same and have to keep hitting the practice range but it will come for us all I’m sure and we need to battle on and not get disheartened by the tempo problems and let’s beat it together 👍

I don't feel nervous, so not sure what that is about (probably just selective memory on the range, since a bad shot just hits one of the does vs wrecks my game).

I’m with you completely and yes I can bang out perfect after perfect on the range and then when I play it’s completely different and I still believe it’s because the sensitivity is so fine that it can change so quickly and I get a little nervous when playing a tour round or society round and we probably try too hard and as I mentioned in a previous thread I’m starting to take two practise back swings and then following through (not literally change your pants) but with the swing )) Not a practice swing but as I’m addressing the ball for a normal shot and two straight backs and then the third back and forwards and I think this just gets rid of any tension.

Going to give that a try - interesting. I have tried doing a few real practice swings before but then I have to move my hands to bring the ball back (and I just get too impatient).

Gonna cut it fine finishing my second round before deadline as busy with work and just did a speed front 9 and +1 so +6 thru 2 with 9 holes left to play and the cut is +10 so still have hope. Now for the best bit as out till early hours work/dinner and drinks and will get home hopefully with two hours left to play the last 9 holes under the influence of alcohol and never done this before 😄

Something finally clicked for me. I went from +90 for the 8 qualifying rounds to -4 (69/72/70/73) for these four rounds. I know this course was a lot easier than the qualifying courses, and these fairways were HUGE, which probably helped calm my nerves. However, I hit more perfects in these four rounds than I did the entire time playing 2k21 leading up to this.
I still can't quite get putting down. I think I 3-putted around 5 times in the last round, which killed any chance of staying near the top. For anyone struggling to shoot below par or even in the 70s just know it'll come around. I think I've turned a corner. Take it from someone who was ready to give up during the qualifying rounds; stick with it and you'll hit your stride eventually.

I managed to fit in the last 9 holes of my 2nd round just ten minutes before the cut off time and finished +3 so total for two rounds +8 and made the cut so onwards and upwards hopefully. Good luck to all still playing 👍

For those of us who did not make the cut this week, the next course is Ayrshire Gailes, which is a very different course. Fairways are narrow and serpentine, but the greens a flatter.
On the good news front (for me), I had a breakthrough on my putting so while my first round at AG I only hit 38% of the fairways, I 1 putted 13 holes and 3 putted only 2 holes (also had one chip in from the rough for par). The result is what you would expect, my first sub-par round (-3) on Master difficulty. I am proof you can improve! Hopefully the wheels don't fall off.

Just finished up my fourth and final round and +8 for the four rounds. First round +5 Second round +3 Third round +2 Fourth round -2
I should be happy as at least the scoring improved slightly and it was only really putting that let me down and finished front nine of the last round -4 but then dropped a silly couple of shots.
Not great but certainly better than Q school and more confident tea to green but short game and putting need practise on.
Hope everyone else is doing well and good luck if your still out there playing 👍
