After 2 rounds of the Vietnam Open sitting on E par. -1 and 1+ in the tougher round 2 conditions.
Managed an Eagle on the driveable par 4 10th in the 1st round being the highlight so far.

Maaaaaaan, I'm just sabotaging myself. Gave away 2-3 shots per round in short putts that are made at least 95% of the time. Also I was -1 thru 11 and blew up with a 7 on the par 4 12th of round 1 (got into the bushes on the right, tried to hack out (should've taken unplayable), then couldn't get that shot out and it rolled down the hill more for an OOB). To make matters worse, in round 2 I was rolling along at E thru 12 and took a freaking 8 on the par 3 13th. I can't even remember how that happened...In the clubhouse at +8, hoping the cut line moves one stroke my way.

Again, I shot my best round (69) in the 3rd round, should've been a 68 at least, only to hand those shots back in the final round. Really need to find that level of consistency across the 4 rounds.

Like I said, who know if I make the cut. But I decided to go ahead and play rounds 3 and 4 anyway. I figured at the worst, it's practice. -1, -1 and both could've been at least -3 or -4. So I finished 4 rounds at +6. I earned my card last week at +22, which was up from +44 two weeks ago. I think I'm starting to figure it out a bit. Obviously a lot of work left to do, but I'm definitely encouraged!

Hi Everyone,
What is it with the next tournament, The Nice Shot Championship saying FIELD in the leaderboard status.
Just wondering as It may not be worth practicing much if it's an invite only type field.
Sorry for the dumb questions, still trying to work out how this all works. Thanks for your patience.

Hi there, As long as you have a CC tour card you will be eligible to play next week - don’t think there are any invitationals in the CC. I think it shows field until this weeks event is finalised and all the promotions and demotions are applied. The leaderboard opens up for next week when the event starts. I’d get practising! Good luck.

Good luck. It's gonna be real ugly for me. I've done several practice rounds and with the way my swing is right now, and all of the water on Playa Saona, it does not mix well. I'd be shocked to make the cut.

I've managed to make the cut several times now! But this week is going to be a struggle. The round I played in a society right before I did this one, was absolutely fantastic. But then I lost the ability to putt cleanly right after I started round 1 in this one. Regained composure around hole 12, but the damage had been done. These greens completely confused me for a while, and bogied about 9 or so in a row. Hard to come back from that, in this league. LOL

2 rounds down and I should a lot better than -4.
1st round was -3. Solid enough, some consistency finally. 2nd round started on fire, birdied 1st 4 holes to get at -7, then of course came the tee shot straight into the drink, Then my next shot the screen glitched out on me and went into the water again and ended up with a triple bogey 7, bugger me!

New here and trying to qualify for a card!!! I’m not very good yet but improve with each round. Haven’t even shot a round under par yet. A couple close rounds this week but blew up the second round with an 81 thanks to an 8 on the back nine. Hopefully I’ll be out there with you guys soon!!

Well after looking today it seems I’m well within the limit of tour cards expected to be handed out this week. Now my anticipation turns to which league I’m in. I feel anything above L would be a struggle for me in the near future, but we’ll see.
Just looked and the stats are updated, I’ve been lucky enough to qualify for the CC-J league! Hopefully I won’t incur too many demotion marks for bad play up there! Good luck out there guys!

After a +65 or so in Q I thought it will take a looooooooooong time before I can play here. The second week I made a +45 but somehow I did qualify for CC-L New to the game but it's going better and better. First round I made a +7. That would mean times 4 = +28 ... that's a bit better as expected. I can do better ... First hole I forgot the wind and it went in the waterhazard. So trying second round 2morrow and hope I can do a little better .. special one par3 I got a 6 on ..... bad clubchecking my side. But practise is the way to get better ..... What are the red and green arrows behind some names?

What are the red and green arrows behind some names? Welcome - you will continue to improve if you play. I qualified (in the first Q school) with a +100 and now shoot about par golf. The red/green are demotion/promotion marks. If you are in the top or bottom 15% you earn them. If you miss the cut with promotion marks, you lose sum and if you don't finish your first two rounds (after you started) before the cut line is set and you don't finish round 3 and 4 (if you made the cut), you get demotion marks for withdrawing. Good luck and enjoy! Scott
