Strange happenings and today I decided to have a practice without the haptic feedback as looking to try this going forward on the tours and out of interest I played last weeks course again and just got a -8 😄

Back to normal and just finished my first round for this week and finished a steady eddy even par. I left a few birdie chances out there and got to -3 at one stage but went a bit wrong on the back nine. I had practiced this a few times and was always under par but isn’t that always the case and everything changes when you start 😄 Good luck everyone to play 👍

Finished my second round with a -5 and I had one birdie and one bogey on the front nine and on the back nine a surprising 2 on the par four 16th and an eagle on 18 so sitting at -5 through 2. How is everyone else getting on and your all quiet? Hope all is ok guys and good luck!

How is everyone else getting on and your all quiet? Hope all is ok guys and good luck! I’m just sitting around and waiting to see if I make my first Cut. I don’t want to play my 3rd and 4th rounds until I see where the cut line is. In RD 1 I came out smoking with 4 birds in the first 5 holes then a water ball with a bad tee shot and then have a few more crappy holes after to finish at -3(69) I had confidence for RD 2 as I thought the conditions would be easier but got smacked in the face with 2 water balls and the putter let me down a little as well and finished +3(75) But I did get 2 birds on 17 and 18 to bring me to +3. And those 2 last minute birds might get me to the weekend. So I’m at even par after 2 rounds watching the cut line move to +3 then back to +1 in the last 24 hours. I’m not sure what the average percentage of players play on Wed as a lot have not posted yet. This is only my 3rd Tournament with a Tour Card and want to experience playing on the weekend and finally earn a paycheck.

Still in shock as just finished my last two rounds and round three -5 and round 4 -10 so through four rounds sitting at -20 and that’s my best score so far on the tours so feeling very happy! Hope everyone else is doing well and good luck if your still finishing off 👍

Started out with a 69 and then the wheels came off afterwards. I started to jam the stick to the left and pulls were the result. Then shooting out of the rough with the pulls makes it more difficult to get to the Green on in two. I had too many 3rd shots down low with the elevated greens.
On to the Sand Pit! I will grab my shovel to add to the bag.

I hope all my fellow CC-Lrs are doing ok and I have no idea how I managed it after my poor start in the last event but I went on to finish 11th with a score of -20 and got the final promotion mark I needed to move up to K. Not sure how long I’ll last there but had a good banter with you guys and good luck and hopefully you will join me soon or I’ll be back here 😄

Wow, I did not realize that, congratulations man!!!!
This week I had 4 putts I know of that missed by just millimeters. And that would have put me in the cut! Even that, in Round 2, I was chugging along nicely, and thought to myself, wow, I'm playing pretty good, I might make a cut... and as SOON AS I THOUGHT THAT, it gave me the yips and I double bogied a hole that I had a 5 ft birdie shot at. LOL. oh well.

I shoot 71 in Rd 1 and then felt the pressure of Rd2 on got a +2 on Hole 1 and started out +6 through 5 holes. I stabilized but the damage was done as I finished with 78 and a missed cut. My issue was a damn thumb jam with pulls to the left. I lost my swing and when I found it again it was too late and then I tried for every birdie on Back 9 and couldn’t pull the trigger. I only got 2 birds. Playing catch up makes you take chances. I was hitting greens in 3 and thst is not good enough to make birds. Again, Rd 1 feels relaxed for me. But Rd 2 starts and I feel it.

Had a really good R1, then was off on R2, but had only one really bad hole. Then missed the cut by 1 stroke!

Keep at it and if you can have the one good round more will follow! Onwards and upwards 👍

So close! Sounds like the game is coming along. I am inconsistent, which is frustrating. I can play really well (for me) and then have a 2 or 3 hole run of just horrible.

I’ve been playing this game since Oct snd have improved a lot. But my bad putting issues on here will rear it’s ugly head at times and usually happens during the rounds that count. I can consistently hit the 10-12 footers with comfort now but then in Rd 2 when I need that 10 footer for a bird or a badly needed par i will burn the edges with the left to right and right to left slopes of the green. Consistent good putts will no doubt lower the scores.

I feel the same - I occasionally blow a tee shot but rarely, not uncommon to badly miss an approach, but 3 or 4 putting happens almost every round (at least once). That is just giving away strokes and I need to work on it.

This week's course was pretty great. Seen a few people say that it was quite a challenge (and to be fair, with the wind speeds, it was), but somehow managed to come out of it Evens after 4 rounds.
Round 4 for me was unbelievable, managed to shoot a 67 (-5), and that's *after* a Triple-Bogey moment of madness on 16. My best round, not just on TGC, but since I picked up the game, on any difficulty so far.
Couldn't be prouder of myself with a finish like that.
