On a lighter note, is anyone else having problems with haptic? Mine doesn't work at all which makes putting interesting. I've gone back to the old fashioned way using Judgement, but I certainly need practice! Every time that has happened to me a console restart has solved it.

What riles me is the whinging and moaning going on regarding the new seasons swing settings from a few Playstation users. Banging on about how they have worked so hard to get to the level they are at, how using pro swing negates the skill they apparently have practised so hard to acquire on master. I say bullshit! How much skill did it take them to go on Youtube and learn how to calibrate so that hitting perfects is easy? They truly are a joke. They will I'm sure still have a big advantage on Pro swing, but hey, if they want to leave TGC as some have threatened then I say good riddance. Such a self centred and selfish attitude, as well as deluded. Yeah I've seen a lot of really level-headed responses from a lot of the top players on PS but those who are responding in the way you mention are definitely getting a little too worked up I think. If they shoot say four shots better a round and platinum scores go from say 50 under to around 65 under it seems a reasonable compromise to breathe life into the tours and allow people to compete again. I honestly don't think it'll close the console gap THAT much if at all. The polling points issue exists on Pro too albeit to a lesser extent. But a LOT of people across all the platforms will have more fun for sure.

mvpmanatee as the other thread got shut down I'm going to answer you here. Don't feel like you have to answer. What you need to understand is that some of us have been here for a long time. Some of us (like you) have done rangering. Some of us have spent significant amounts of time running cross platform community events. Some of us have donated money to this site and the causes it has supported, as well as to fellow members in need. This site has been fantastic, it's brought people with a shared love together and forged lasting friendships. But the whole point of this place was the thing that made it different, cross platform play. The TGC1 and 2 days were golden, we were on an even playing field, they were days full of whimsy, Wags being Wags, Phlyer and his thumb, Brad always being good, bikini clad girls falling at our feet. Ok maybe not the last one. PS players always dominated but the rest of us had a chance. We loved this place! WGR3 Griffin was an Xbox player, Jules won a few big tournaments. 2019 ripped all that away with a big imbalance in gameplay, 2K21 made it even worse. The 'whining' you're seeing is born from 3 years of pure frustration. We've got some really good players on this console, they haven't got a hope against good players playing a completely different game. Personally, I can live with it and as I've said, I enjoy MY game regardless of what level I'm playing at. But having had to endure this myself, I get it. It's not an ideal solution to dumb the game down to try and even the playing field, but the fact the admin here have done so shows you that their priorities are the same as they've always been, to provide a fun and competitive experience across all platforms. It may or may not work but it's worth a try isn't it? All we can hope is the next game doesn't have these problems. Is that a mature enough conversation for you?

What’s the best way to prepare for this season? What should the most difficult Pro settings look like? I want to practice to see how I’d fare on some tough courses Join Pandora Legends Thanks I joined!

Thanks, this has worked, but only by physically taking out the power cord for ten seconds. Trying a restart from the menu didn't do anything.

If the shoe was on the other foot what happened this weekend would of happened 2-3 years ago. Some people just don't get it. At the end of the day TGCT had to do something to breathe some life into this game and get the numbers up. It may be unpopular with some but "this is how it is so if you don't like it you can play in other societies" is what we have been told for a long time.

Game performance has deteriorated dramatically for me in the last few months. Use to be it would feel a bit weird from time to time but was generally fine. Now, it's almost constant. So, I'll suck on pro too but at least I'll have a better than 50% chance of carrying that water hazard haha.

I applaud this organization for trying and making improvements for all of us.Sadly the game is still unplayable for me.I still can only go for a few rounds where my player won’t allow me to advance the ball.Only thing I can do is take an “x” or shut off the game and reboot it from the start.Nothing at all to do with tgc tours at all.Just a nasty error somewhere in the software

But at least I can play. Your situation is truly bad.

Wouldn't let me complete a downswing. I went out and back in and could then only hit extreme very fasts. The only able to hit extreme vf's and extreme vs's happened to me before too and recently. For a long time now (around since the time of the swing change) the game has been performing very poorly/inconsistently for me. And I'm talking about inconsistency from hole to hole a lot of the time, nevermind round to round or session to session. Feel is completely lost most of the time I try to play. I'll give the tours a try again but seems to me the game has been banjaxed for quite some time now. Lack of maintenance? I dunno...about these things.

I haven't had it lock up like you guys but do have the extreme very fast spells you mention. And like you I'd say this only started about three months ago but hasn't improved since then. I just assumed they scaled back server capacity if the player count dropped after the patch but I have no idea. Definitely a noticeable drop in stability though for me too.

Only thing I ask is um........be sensitive to their frustrations too, even if they weren't in the now closed thread. THAT was the reason why the thread was locked by Doyley . I don't want that happening here too. We've had some "animated" conversations in here, with many differing opinions. The respect for others has rarely if ever wavered in this particular thread. Our community is tight though and I feel that is why our thread has stayed open to communication. Giraffe72 love you like a brother I've never met and you always say it so well, even if our perspectives don't always align.

What’s the best way to prepare for this season? What should the most difficult Pro settings look like? I want to practice to see how I’d fare on some tough courses Same TGCTours settings as current - but change swing difficulty to Pro - that is likely what is going to happen. The other possibility is the removal of the lie grid (not green grid) - but that may be only for the top 3 tours (P, E, K)
