I think SkinniePost tested the tees trick and even though the colors don't change in the designer, apparently when you play, you still hit from the furthest tee back even if it's not the right color in the designer. Looks like my theory that RCR quality is directly proportional to how much time is spent trying to nail the look of the clubhouse is proven once again. I too was going to suggest PithyDoctorG 's blue stake for awning stripes idea.

Looking great, is this going to have 4 seperate tees of different lengths so all the same colour is nearest or furthest or tournament style where on one hole the red tee for instance will be the back tee but then be moved up and the closest set on the driveable par 4 and so on?
Is that a thing that can be done? I haven't checked on 2k21 yet, but in TGC19 I believe if you moved a tee forward ahead of a different color tee, they just flipped colors automatically.
Anyways I'm not so sure it matters here. The only real driveable 4 on the course is the 6th hole, and it's reachable from the back tee in anything but a headwind. Of the two par 5's, 9 and 12, 9 is almost always reachable, and 12 is pretty much never reachable, so again tees won't matter much there. The only real difference it would make is the par 3's. The 10th and 13th holes are very similar thanks to the new US Open tee at 10, so that would be the only hole I would really think about changing, off the top of my head. At this point it's not a priority, though.
Lets say for arguments sake you lay out 18 holes of black tees as the course is intended but on a couple of holes you add a blue tee that's pushed up, I'm pretty sure on all the other holes that don't have a blue tee that the game will put you on the black tees. I have tried it on a course where it has members tees as whites and pro tees as black except theres only 4 holes that have a seperate pro tee, the rest the black and whites are merged so I only added a black tee on four holes and it works fine

Let's say the black tees are farthest back, then blue, then white, then red Judging by what Im testing, if you ignore the black tees (which do work like how you state) and design ENTIRELY around the blue and white tees it seems to work SOMETIMES. I'm getting really inconsistent results over here now that Im testing it further.

I hit the wall in the planting phase. It's just such a big plot, and once I get a few holes into planting I generally hit the wall in all of my projects. I'm struggling through though. Have 1-11 planted, and various other odds and ends. I'll post some pics tonight if I can.

Well, let me repeat again then, thanks for sticking with this with the precision that you put into your projects. You're in the home stretch, and we wait with baited breath!

Ok here we go. I put up pics of the 3rd and 4th last time, so here's 5-10.
Once I have all of West planted, then I'll start on the other parts, including the area surrounding the water tower there. I just want to make sure I know how much meter I'll have to work with.

I'm with you on this! the 100 hour mark in is a tough wall to break through but I promise to get Brookline done if you promise to get this done ;-) I'll also promise a few months off designing once these big projects are both done!

Yea, CLV does great RCRs, so this one is going to be top notch as well.
