This has been a terrible year for football fans. Let's hope the playoffs are entertaining and the SB has two teams worthy of being there. Go Washington Football Team....NOT REALLY Could you elaborate on the terrible year part? Do you mean the covid protocols? Or something else? Honestly this has been one of my favorite seasons in recent history. The reduction of penalties has been beneficial and the play has been entertaining, many great comebacks, close games and few blowouts, only one a week it seems. Other than the NFC East, quality of play was solid across the board.

I agree golferdude1994 I'm a huge football fan, its the only sport I actually watch. And I am one that does not watch just one game on Sunday, I usually watch every game broadcast, and pull for multiple teams.
That said, I don't think its been a terrible year for fans at all. Different, yes. But terrible, no. Football has been the only thing that has continued to go on it seems, and I've enjoyed it. There have been a lot more entertaining and close games on Thursday and Monday nights than I remember in a while.
And I would love to see Washington win. I like Ron Riveria and would love to see him and Alex Smith get a playoff win after all they've been through.

Nothing against Ron or Alex, but Brady Rodgers in the playoffs next week would be a much better game.

Most definitely covid virus, never mind protocols, how about teams having players sit out the season, how about delayed games, players not being able to play because of a + test, etc. Do you seriously think the SB will be any good without fans in the stands? Heck, let's just start watching Madden eSports competitions and forego real live players.

makes perfect sense, cliffs I read your statement as talking about the quality of the games themselves that a fan would enjoy watching regardless of venue, instead of enjoyment of the fans being there.

I agree with you there Cliff, I myself thought you were referring to the quality of gameplay like Josia JosiaDB said, but I agree with you, fans make everything better. However, I am still going to have my beer in hand and pizza at my side for the next four weeks watching the games lol

My wife went to the grocery store last night. I told her as she was leaving, "This is wild card weekend! Triple header both days! Get football watchin' food!" :

never mind protocols, how about teams having players sit out the season, how about delayed games, players not being able to play because of a + test, etc. How about a team being forced to play a game with a WR at QB after all 4 of its QBs were ruled out? The NFL could move heaven and earth for the Steelers and Ravens, but the Broncos... sorry, nope, show must go on. What happens if Tampa Bay faces off against Kansas City in the SB and either Mahomes or Brady tests positive? Is the NFL going to postpone the game with one of its two biggest stars out with COVID? Chad Henne vs Blaine Gabbert for all the marbles? Fun.

Hey, I'd be perfectly fine with that. Remember when Nick Foles was a backup, played the Super Bowl, and beat Tom Brady and the mighty Pats? That is what makes the NFL for me, that its a team effort, and on "any given Sunday" the backup guy or the team that has not won 5 games can come in and beat the stud player. I love that it has the Salary Cap built so you don't end up with baseball teams full of superstars. It takes all 53 of them and their coaches together to make it work.
Now THAT SAID, I do agree with you on the part where they seemingly bent the rules for the Ravens and Steelers, but yet the Broncos, Browns, and I think the Saints too, were all told you gotta deal with this. That was some back door good ol' boy stuff going on somewhere if you ask me, and wasn't right.
I have already heard that changes to next season are a done deal. Two preseason games and an added regular season game, extra off weeks built in, and the Super Bowl will be mid February, all done to make it so they will have more room and flexibility to reschedule stuff if needed, and recoup some money.

I think the league did the best it could with what it had. It wasn’t the product we are used to but it was something to watch and cheer for during a really difficult time. It was definitely a better product than the strike games we’ve endured in the past. With that said, my bets placed in William Hill app: Straight bet on the Bills -7 Parlay card: Bills -6.5 Washington +9.5 Seahawks -3.5 Weather should be good at all venues, temps in the 30’s with a slight chance of rain in Seattle. Enjoy the games everyone

Possible SB scenario with Mahomes under concussion protocol - Brady versus the Bills. The Bills need to attack Patrick and try to knock him out (literally) early in their game and Brady has to show Rogers who's neighborhood the NFL belongs in.
The Brady versus the Bills series has been notable for its recent lopsidedness during the career of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who compiled a record of 32–3 against the Bills with 68 touchdowns and 21 interceptions in the eighteen seasons he was Patriots starter between 2001 and 2019. Even more ridiculous, Brady has never lost at home to the Bills in a game he plays from start to finish. Two of his three losses to Buffalo came in 2003 and 2011, and both were on the road in western New York.

I think the Bills could beat KC even without knocking Patrick out. It would be very close, but that Bills D is really good, and if anyone has a chance I think they might could do it.
Wow if Brady and the Bills both get to the SB, with it being in Tampa, it would be a "home game" for him. Just processing the implications of what you put there.
And I'm thinking that ErixonStone is some kind of soothsayer, with his talk of Chad Henne vs Gabbert. Half that came true yesterday!
I think the last play by Reid to lull everyone into thinking it was a no play to try to draw Cleveland offsides, then running the play was one of the greatest coaching decisions I've seen in a long time.
