We'll have a lot of updates coming Sunday - stay tuned! Yay! Everyone will be playing with Beginner's clubs with no wind and medium speed greens. The idea is everyone will therefore be equal and have the ability to shoot -20 every round! There will be 18 way ties for first place so everyone feels like a winner! So wagtunes challenging Sweeney rules. Sounds good as long as we play Little Brook Manor every week.

Ron you need to lie down somewhere is a cool dry place, the heat must be getting to you.

Not sure if it is binding or not, but we got a cut happen at the same time of the week that we had in the past a few minutes ago. Maybe just testing? We'll have a lot of updates coming Sunday - stay tuned! This is my concern too ... in 2019 the cut could have been better made on Wednesday IMHO. Now I think it's GOT to be Wednesday.

I am really curious how this Qualifying Pool will work week in and week out to join the regular tours with a now restricted number of players on the mains tours.

What it DEFINITELY needs is non-active players to be removed (relatively quickly) from taking up a tour spot - imo 5 weeks without playing an event, and you should be dropped back into the qualifying pool......releasing up a spot for someone else to qualify (or promote) into....

Bob - posted this on 3 Sep on the season 7 TGCT . Looking forward to ‘Announcement Sunday’.
I like the fact that there will be a Q-school every week, from which the top x % will promote to the regular tours-dependant on performance. But reading the initial thoughts on what TGCT for 2K21 may look like, any qualification from Q-School will need to be tempered with an almost equal demotion from the tours back to Q-School (ie: equivalent to loosing your Tour Card and your place is taken by someone from Q-School). These demotions may only be able come from the bottom tour (I can’t imagine anyone losing there card from Kinetic Tour etc). With a Q-School every week the demotion system will need to conversely fit into it. I don’t envy Tim, Jeff, or Scott’s decision’s or the number crunching involved in making something that fit’s this model.
I think the ideals are extremely well founded. A competitive tour system where you have to not only reach a certain level to compete but also raise your game alongside other players in order to stay there. It may well take quite a time for the numbers to bed-down and settle, but there will always be churn. Either way those players who stick with Masters are guaranteed at least 4 competitive rounds per week, even if it is Q-School. Imagine the gratification you would get of a player finally qualifying for the tours! I think though that there will be players who do end up flip-flopping between q-school and the lower tour levels. IMO the worry is that any system may have to be quite brutal in demoting people - cause the demotions will probably only come from the bottom tier. A robust system in getting people to the bottom tier quickly enough is the risk I think. Gone are the days of someone pretty much staying in 1 tour for a whole season (probably Platinum or Elite will see less movement).
Interesting times ahead for TGCT and I for 1 am looking forward to it.
play well y’all.
i also hope that the tours manage to find a way of auto-removing players from Tiers who don’t compete for 3-4 weeks.
play well y’all.

So I’ve just been on the website and it’s showing scores for CC test event #1 I finished T19th but there are people above that haven’t completed all 4 rounds. Would their scores be removed when the season starts otherwise they will be depriving me of a much needed promo mark.

As said above - and it's always that way till Doyley finalises the events anyway (at which point the DNFs are removed)

They are - but Sunday night / early Monday (our time) normally - there's a 2 stage process:
They close (start of our Sunday) - so no other scores can then be posted - but everyone who has played is still shown - then Doyley 'finalises' them later on, all non finishers are removed, winner listed and money etc allocated. So once you go into 'Last Week's events' on the main site, and you see a winner listed - then you know it's fully completed.

I just like to see how far up the leaderboard I get what you are saying Les, but IMO I think Admin has more important things to figure out than to finalize an exhibition event that ultimately not even count towards anything. Just subtract the folks ahead of you on the table that did not finish. And take there towels from the lockerroom. Use their valet parking spot too. If they didn't want to finish the event they don't deserve the perks!
