I have joined TGCTours ProAm and Challenge Circuit Societies, are these the tours I should be practicing with because I entered one a couple of weeks ago and it was quite easy? I want to practice in a society that will be using the proper settings.

I haven’t played a CC event, but I would imagine they are set up for masters as that tour will be using them too.

Complete newbie here and just started playing on the settings you guys play on because this society and community seems to be the coolest thing I’ve come across the internet in quite some time! You guys make this 30 year old excited to play some video games online with others again! Any tips on qualifying, ways to get better, or ways to stay engaged with the community will be greatly appreciated! I’m very excited for the news today on the new season.

Welcome to the show, rook! You will never see a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Misplaced tropes aside, it is widely accepted that TGCTours is the sole reason HB’s product has had such staying power (apart from being a fantastic game of golf).
Best of luck to you!

There should be a lot of help on the driving range board. To me, the number one tip should always be repeated self assessment. You need to understand why you are making bogeys and figure out how to reduce them. Can you lag it inside 4 feet consistently? Do most of your missed putts miss on the low side? Are you hitting into spots off the tee where you can’t reach the green? Are your chips running 10 feet by the hole? Work on whatever causes you the most trouble first, getting more accurate with approaches will come with just playing the game a lot.

As others have said it’s all about practice. Understand folks put a lot of time into this so temper your expectations early and gradually learn how to get it done. Welcome...it’s indeed a lot of fun.

I am really curious how this Qualifying Pool will work week in and week out to join the regular tours with a now restricted number of players on the mains tours. Probably a lot like the way promotion events worked in S6 - there are a number of tour cards available for each flight. Say there are 5 Platinum spots available, the top 5 players who meet Platinum qualifications get Platinum cards. That could be anywhere from zero to five players. If 10 people happen to shoot well enough to qualify, the top 5 make it in and the next 5 go to Elite. If there aren't 5 spots, then the bottom drop to Kinetic. Going to be tough to make it directly into the Pro tours out of weekly Q-Pool, at least for the first few weeks when there aren't many inactives.
