Not sure whether it was the course/setup or I just found something out, but I fired 4 straight rounds that were better than anything I had shot on the game so far. 61-59-62-59 for -43.

70/62/68/71 -- good for -13. Nice track, doubled 18 in round 4, pitched it out of bounds from 100 LOL.

Finished at -29. Short game cooked it in the final round, shot a 70 with 5 bogeys.

Nice work, shot 59 in r1 and then lost tempo in the next two and couldn’t keep the pace, the scores will be there if we play this type of course with this type of conditions. If we firmed it up and sped up the greens To 187 or played a course without 2 drivable 4s and 4 easily reachable 5’s -30 would still be a good target

Never did get the tempo going these 4. Made it to 28 anyway, largely because the short game is easy and as was said above that is 6 should makes per round.
So what clubs are we all going with?

-9 69 70 69 67 I've moved nowhere from day1. Maybe from here....to....here. That's it. Only play about 2 rds a day, as always but put a load in today. Would have been fist pumping with -43, so kudos to you. If every tour is on the same settings I'll be happy to land anywhere to start. Inspirational move...

Anyone else think this hotfix for the putting on PS4 has somehow made the game much easier? I've not played since, myself, but all of a sudden we're seeing mad scores after everyone has been reasonably in check... Coincidence? Didn't notice until I read this but it's cured the stuttering stick, pull back it resets, but my putting is still sh%$...& chipping...& pitching...& splash...& flops...& my avitar has huge freak of nature hands. Weirdo...

Getting extremely discouraged when I feel like I play well and am +1 through 34 holes, and am seeing comments from people saying "couldn't get it going only shot -6 -6"....
Gave up entirely for the 2nd week in a row on 18, and going to call it a week. I like the game and I feel like I am playing alright but people are just so much better than me, I am starting to think they are playing a different game. So much for "realistic scores" lol.
Maybe this is what Phil felt like before he made the switch over to the old guys tour.

Things obvious to me today:
A) I'm not anywhere near on PGA/Platinum level anymore, that's a bit tough to take, but I'll survive and make the most of having fun with the game B) The putter sticking/bug thing, while it might have been fixed on ps4, definitely isn't on PC. I missed a 6in putt in round 1, just trying to gently take the stick back and tap it in, but the putter stopped moving as I was going forward, resulting in like a 2in putt distance. Fun.
Some of you in here are on a different level than what I can even imagine at this point. I can have what's a "great" round to me of -7 or so, but I can't do that with any level of consistency, and it's basically all down to tempo on approach shots. Can't, and won't speculate on if it's a ps4 vs pc thing, or whatever else (like my club selections are sh%$ or something), but I can't even begin to feel like I'm anywhere close to shooting mid-pack scores based on what I've read here. GL to all you guys who are able to stay up on this top level, going to be a bit tough to take not being able to compete with yall, but who knows, maybe I'll suddenly pick up something and find my way back at some point. Cheers.

I'm not there yet and maybe I won't ever be...but it won't be for lack of trying. I just don't generate a straight line with my swing, even on putts, and that's really penalizing when tempo is off. But thinking if I can miss to only one side that may be the way to go. Still working...

This is how the pros in real life play most of the time. You don’t see Dustin Johnson trying to hit draws very often, he just hits his fade because he knows where it’s going. It’s no different With this game in my view, find a shot that you consistently can hit And just play with it. Once you find that the game becomes much easier

One thing’s for sure - -43 will not be posted in the European Tour exhibition - that was tough!

Curious on 2 starting questions for those adapting well, if they care to share:
1) are you playing for fast downswings? If so, only on drives, or everywhere? 2) are you using the haptic rumble? If so, everywhere? If only putts, are you inching the putter backward and then just going through once vibrate starts?
Trying to wrap my head around some of the scoring, and this was the first couple of things I thought might be in play - tho again, I’ve got no clue what it’s like on ps4.

I maybe never quite understood if folks were failing API for that reason in 2019 or if that was a different issue. But I totally agree with you. I'm a + handicap in real life, and you will never see me missing to the left. Taking out one side of the course is something that almost all of the best players in the world do, to some extent.

I wasn't amazing at 2019, but I was a couple shots away from making Tour Championship on PGA. My best 4 round tourney on 2k21 is -2. And I've had others of +20 or more. I feel like I'm missing something that other guys are doing, too.
